For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. All animals are currently in MS. Mississippi is overpopulated with too many animals, not enough adopters, and many high kill shelters. For Pet's Sake Rescue saves each animal from a different background.  ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations.We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible.*** For Pet's Sake Rescue transports animals to other states for better adoption potential. Our goal is to keep animals alive and out of kennels into their forever homes as quickly as possible. Each animal is quarantined and vetted during their time in our care. Once we review your application and check your vet reference, we will contact you to proceed. If both parties agree to the adoption, we will send you an Adoption Contract with an invoice. Once the invoice is paid, your pet is "on hold" for you to pick up or we can transport the pet to a designated location closer to you via transport. Transports are arranged for specific dates. We will discuss these dates and locations with you during the initial phone call.  We are currently unable to adopt pets to MA and RI residents. This is bird. She is under the threat of euthanasia!!! She was taken in foster care but isn’t doing good in the environment!!! Please read. Bird was injured by a dog and then someone attempted to POISON her. She hasn’t been the same since and her owners abandoned her. She’s currently in foster care. She gets along fine with cats that keep to themselves. She needs to find a furever human as soon as possible, she keeps to herself and is kind of anti social. She doesn’t know how to climb things or jump. Please give her a chance. She’s spayed with shots. She’s food driven and is a really good cat she just needs a chance!!

Loki has been raised in the rescue with siblings: Raven, Evelyn and Felix. He is very playful but does not like to be handled. He is great for another cat in a household that needs a cat friend. He will slowly acclimate into showing more curiosity toward humans in time. He is not going to the type of cat you pick up and hold however he has a cute personality. Just give him time and a friend.
