Sassy is a beautiful calico cat who is around 1.5-2 years old. This sweet girl hasn’t had the easiest life. Prior to our rescue taking her in, she was with another rescue who adopted out of Petco and Petsmart, where she was sent. Being in a glass box was not for Sassy. Being poked, prodded and stared at every day for hours upon hours turned her from a very loving cat to a very scared and withdrawn one. This is when the rescue decided to surrender her to us where we could safely put her in a foster home. She has been in a foster home for about 3 months and is thriving now. She has come out of her shell and learned she’s safe once again. No more glass boxes for her. The foster says this about her: Friendly Vocal – Loves to talk to you Loves to explore and roam around Loves cat trees Learning to love what toys are again Gets along with other cats, but prefers her own space Would do fine with older children, ideally no young ones for Sassy Dogs would be fine with slow introductions (refer to pictures with dog in the background) Wonderful lap cat Very Entertaining Inside Only Sassy is a calmer cat that loves to lay around and just hang out. Sassy is spayed, FIV/ FLV Tested negative, current on vaccinations, microchipped, will be seen by a vet and given a clean bill of health prior to adoption. Are you all about the attitude of a calico? Tahini is nose to tail calico. She is fully in charge of her destiny and you may come along if you are aware that she is in the lead. She pounces when she is in the pouncing mood (or a brother needs to be reminded of their position in the pecking order). She naps when she is good and ready, and only then. Like her brother, she was found in a colony and is now thriving in a foster home where she’s learning how wonderful indoor life can be. Pastel is naturally shy, preferring to take her time observing new people and environments. But with patience, kindness, and gentle encouragement, she begins to show her soft and loving side. She enjoys the company of other cats and would do well in a home where she can have a confident feline friend to help her continue to blossom. Helen is a soft-hearted, older cat who needs a little time, patience, and a safe space to truly show her sweet side. She’s the kind of cat who doesn’t rush into friendship but once she feels secure, she blossoms. She’s bonded with a feline companion, Olasard, she’s lived with her whole life and would ideally go to a home that understands that bond and can let both cats stay together. Helen doesn’t mind gentle pets or being held, but she appreciates affection on her own terms: curling up close to your feet, quietly lounging nearby, and playing softly with toys when she feels comfortable. Helen prefers calm, peaceful environments so a home without chaos or a lot of commotion will help her truly relax and open up. With time, love, and understanding, she has so much love to give.
