Story
Melody is a hilarious calico, who was rescued with her two siblings, Franklin Saint and Wanda, and her feral mom. Melody is the typical middle child: easygoing, likes to share, cuddles but also doesn't ask for much...out of her litter, she was the first to purr at her rescuer. And once she turns on that purr, it goes on forever. Once she's comfortable, she'll climb into your lap and turn on the purr motor. Like a typical kitten, she's not afraid of much and loves to explore everything! She likes hanging out in her rescuer's hoodie, but then quickly decides it's time to get crazy again and will jump over to her siblings for the next wrestling match. She loves EVERY toy and everything that COULD be a toy, but she's not destructive. She's been curious about her rescuer's dogs, so we think she may be fine with a dog friend, as well. For the first few weeks of their lives, Melody and her siblings lived in a crawl space under a set of stairs in Crown Heights, where their mom lovingly kept them safe. A neighbor contacted us because we'd rescued a litter just a few doors down last summer. Melody is up to date on vaccines, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and ready for a wonderful forever home. She will be spayed and given her rabies vaccine through Brooklyn Animal Action at approx. 5 months old. Melody must be adopted with her sister, Wanda, or into a home with another young, playful cat.
