She is very trusting and not skittish. She is cat friendly but may also be your one and only. She was rescued from an overcrowded shelter where she may have been euthanized due to her testing positive for FIV. She seems to prefer cuddling to playing but does show some interest in playing too. Meet Sophie! This very pretty calico kitty, is shown in the one pic with her brother, Gus, and sleeping with their best buddy, Kona, their foster doggie brother!! They are approximately 6 years old now and have been waiting and hoping that their very own forever family is out there! They were rescued from an elderly woman's garage when they were 6 weeks old and in need of medical attention because they had colds. They were taken to be seen by the vet and recovered and are very happy and healthy now! Sophie has the tiniest little color difference in only one of her eyes. This is the story of two little girls with polar opposite life stories and personalities, who met at a foster home and became friends. Dear little Summer is a most unusual orange and grey brown tabby with the most beautiful stripes and spots. She was found on the streets of south Brooklyn as a toddler kitten who miraculously survived a brutal winter by herself. From day one, she was shy, timid and exudes total peace. She's always the one at back of the crowd, just politely waiting to be noticed to get her turn at snacks. While in foster, she is now comfortable to come and receive snacks from your hand, and she's always ever so gentle about it. She loves being around people, and will follow her foster parents around the house, observing everything quietly, and sleeping at the end of the bed.She still needs continued socialization to trust people enough to pet her. She prefers to be in a quiet home with patient and experienced adopter(s) who will continue to help her in her journey to trusting humans. When she gets there, you will find yourself the sweetest, faithful kitty who will never leave your side.
