Say hello to Virginia!Virginia is a gorgeous little tabby who recently spent her first birthday here at FDHS. We made sure she got plenty of extra love and pampering that day, but it still tugs at our hearts knowing she’s spent so much of her young life in the shelter instead of a home of her own.Virginia came to us nearly a year ago as a teeny tiny kitten from a tough situation. She had been living in a home with multiple other cats and arrived very scared and not well socialized. Thankfully, she was able to spend several weeks in a wonderful foster home where she started learning what life as a house cat is all about. By the time she returned to the shelter, she was much more comfortable with her caregivers and not nearly as afraid of people.Virginia is a cat’s cat through and through. She really relies on the comfort and presence of other cats for confidence and security, so we believe she would do best in a home with feline friends to keep her company. She can still be a little skittish when meeting new people and tends to be more of an independent girl, but if you give her time to settle in, you’ll see what a sweet girl she truly is. She’s friendly with the people she knows and loves spending her afternoons lounging in her cat tower and soaking up the sunshine.This pretty girl has spent so much of her young life in a shelter environment. Hey, I’m Rocky! Four years old, tabby, and very into being everyone’s friend.I came to the shelter with some of my cat buddies after my person could no longer care for us. I was really loved in my last home, and it shows. I’m social, snuggly, and always down to hang out. I’ve lived with a bunch of other cats and was real good pals with the family dog too. I’d groom him, snuggle him, and generally act like we were the same species. I love attention, playtime, and being where the action is.I'm looking forever home where I can get lots of attention and spend the rest of my nine lives being doted on! Say hello to Sammy! Mr. Sammy is a big, chunky black cat who came to us with his bestie Bella (also available!) through no fault of their own.Sammy has been such a sweet, easygoing guy with our staff. He loves being pet, leans right in for attention, and is known for giving the cutest little nose boops. And his purr? You’ll hear it the second you start loving on him. He also seems pretty bonded to Bella, and the two of them are often found cuddled up together, just hanging out and enjoying each other’s company.Sammy is a low-maintenance, chill kind of cat who would do best in a quieter home where he can relax and get a good amount of attention. He’d be happy going home on his own, but he’d also love to stick with Bella if someone is looking for a pair.
