Virginia has been hanging out at FDHS for several months now waiting for her forever family. And honestly, we are baffled she hasn’t been adopted yet! She came to us with her two brothers after their previous owner could no longer care for them. While her brothers have long since found their happily ever after, Virginia is still here waiting for her purrfect match.This little beauty queen is nearly grown, but she still has plenty of kitten spunk. She loves zooming around and playing with the other cats in her cat room Because of this, we think she would do best in a home with another feline friend to keep her company. Virginia is sweet and affectionate with her caretakers, though she can be a little shy when meeting new humans at first. Slow and steady definitely wins the race with this girl! She is a cat’s cat through and through, happiest when she has a feline companion nearby, but she will also warm up to the right person who gives her time, love, and patience. After being found in a local park, a kind woman made sure he had food, comfort, and someone looking out for him. Thanks to her compassion, he made his way to FDHS, where he is now safe, cozy, and going to bed each night with a full belly. Goldie was taken in by me around 2 months ago as a stray cat found at my job. I brought her home and treated her fleas and mites immediately. She’s up to date on her shots, and is FIV/FELV negative. She is a very active kitten, she loves running and jumping around, scratching her cat posts and playing in her tunnel, and looking out of windows. Unfortunately, she likes to pick fights with my other rescue cat and she has claws and my other cat does not. This does unfortunately lead to behavior issues with my original cat, and some mild injuries. This is why I have made the decision to rehome Goldie. My other cat is older and just doesn’t enjoy having a kitten around. The vet said Goldie is around 6 months or so old, she weighs around 5-6 pounds and is a very loving and playful kitty. I’m sure she would be fine with more active cats, or by herself. I’m not sure how she is around dogs, so introduce slowly.
