Elegant Elope! This playful and silly cat (DOB 4/2024) is searching for a forever home. She loves playing with other cats and would do best in a home with another cat. She can be shy when first meeting new people but warms up quickly. She is living in a foster home with other cats and has been exposed to dogs. With proper introductions she could learn to enjoy their company. She is spayed, micro-chipped, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, vaccinated, and wormed. Her adoption fee is just $70 dollars. I took this girl in on a freezing night a month or so back and I haven’t had the heart to re-release her . I’d love to keep her it’s just not realistic because I have 4 other cats. She’s loves to play and absolutely loves human affection. This is really hard for me because I fell for her. But she deserves somewhere she can run and play . I live in a small apartment with other people and animals.

Say hello to Virginia!Virginia is a gorgeous little tabby who recently spent her first birthday here at FDHS. We made sure she got plenty of extra love and pampering that day, but it still tugs at our hearts knowing she’s spent so much of her young life in the shelter instead of a home of her own.Virginia came to us over a year ago as a teeny tiny kitten from a tough situation. She had been living in a home with multiple other cats and arrived very scared and not well socialized. Thankfully, she was able to spend several weeks in a wonderful foster home where she started learning what life as a house cat is all about. By the time she returned to the shelter, she was much more comfortable with her caregivers and not nearly as afraid of people.Virginia is a cat’s cat through and through. She really relies on the comfort and presence of other cats for confidence and security, so we believe she would do best in a home with feline friends to keep her company. She can still be a little skittish when meeting new people and tends to be more of an independent girl, but if you give her time to settle in, you’ll see what a sweet girl she truly is. She’s friendly with the people she knows and loves spending her afternoons lounging in her cat tower and soaking up the sunshine.This pretty girl has spent so much of her young life in a shelter environment. Hey, I’m Rocky! Four years old, tabby, and very into being everyone’s friend.I came to the shelter with some of my cat buddies after my person could no longer care for us. I was really loved in my last home, and it shows. I’m social, snuggly, and always down to hang out. I’ve lived with a bunch of other cats and was real good pals with the family dog too.
