Millie is 4 almost 5. She is a very shy cat and likes to hide away and come out to see you on her time. She is very cuddly and loves to play. You can find her curled up with one of the dogs most of the time. When she plays she does play bite it scares people that she is going to hurt them. She never has. She loves to steal shiny things and collect them in her hiding spots her favorite are rings and jewelry. She is very sweet and fun and funny to watch. We are sad to rehome such a sweet cat. Elegant Elope! This playful and silly cat (DOB 4/2024) is searching for a forever home. She loves playing with other cats and would do best in a home with another cat. She can be shy when first meeting new people but warms up quickly. She is living in a foster home with other cats and has been exposed to dogs. With proper introductions she could learn to enjoy their company. She is spayed, micro-chipped, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, vaccinated, and wormed. Her adoption fee is just $70 dollars. This boy Is the sweetest most loving cat I've ever known. He is a cuddler a Lover and a Handsome man with one blind eye. The problem is he has attachment issues and will pee all over things if I'm not home with him. I'm gone all the time so it's become an issue. He also has 4 other cats in the home that all bully him too. Nothing medically Wrong at all. Just behavioral.

I took this girl in on a freezing night a month or so back and I haven’t had the heart to re-release her . I’d love to keep her it’s just not realistic because I have 4 other cats. She’s loves to play and absolutely loves human affection. This is really hard for me because I fell for her. But she deserves somewhere she can run and play . I live in a small apartment with other people and animals.

With the odds stacked against him and us unsure if he’d even make it through the night, Twister proved right away that he’s a fighter. After being placed in a loving foster home with bottle baby experience, Twister received round-the-clock feedings, potty breaks, snuggles, and all the love a tiny kitten could ask for. Now he’s grown into a chubby, spoiled little gremlin who fully believes humans exist to hold and adore him. Honestly? He kind of demands it. Twister is starting to try new foods, learn a little independence, and get ready for his next big adventure into adopted life. Say hello to Virginia!Virginia is a gorgeous little tabby who recently spent her first birthday here at FDHS. We made sure she got plenty of extra love and pampering that day, but it still tugs at our hearts knowing she’s spent so much of her young life in the shelter instead of a home of her own.Virginia came to us nearly a year ago as a teeny tiny kitten from a tough situation. She had been living in a home with multiple other cats and arrived very scared and not well socialized. Thankfully, she was able to spend several weeks in a wonderful foster home where she started learning what life as a house cat is all about. By the time she returned to the shelter, she was much more comfortable with her caregivers and not nearly as afraid of people.Virginia is a cat’s cat through and through. She really relies on the comfort and presence of other cats for confidence and security, so we believe she would do best in a home with feline friends to keep her company. She can still be a little skittish when meeting new people and tends to be more of an independent girl, but if you give her time to settle in, you’ll see what a sweet girl she truly is. She’s friendly with the people she knows and loves spending her afternoons lounging in her cat tower and soaking up the sunshine.This pretty girl has spent so much of her young life in a shelter environment.
