Tabby kittens & cats in Defiance, Ohio

Was seeing a mama cat come around for awhile....the house she would come from went up for sale and was sold......a few days later the mama came with her 2 kittens....they all had collars on but they were left behind unfortunately. They are playful healthy and would make a great addition to someone's family! I am willing to pay for him to be neutered if this helps him find a loving home!!! I am willing to bring him to you ....anywhere in Ohio!

I've seen the mama for a little while that comes from a couple houses down. The house was put up for sale and sold and the 3 cats were left behind unfortunately. As you can see from the photos someone cared enough for them that they gave them collars. She brought her kittens to my house, stayed a couple days and I have not seen her since. Hoping to find a good home for the babies that she trusted me with!! They are playful and healthy and would make a great addition to someone's family!! I am willing to pay for his neutering if this helps him find a loving home!! I will bring him to you anywhere in Ohio!!

French Fry has been raised outdoors. He is so sweet but a little shy. Great with other animals and great with people and kids!

Nora is looking for a loving home! She has been raised outdoors and is very friendly and playful. She loves people and would do well with anyone willing to love on her!

Harlie is very sweet cat. We acquired Harlie and her sister Charli (i may need to rehome her as well) at the Toledo Humane Society in 2023. Our living situation has forced us to make this decision. Please give her a chance to be part of your family.

Say hello to Virginia!Virginia is a gorgeous little tabby who recently spent her first birthday here at FDHS. We made sure she got plenty of extra love and pampering that day, but it still tugs at our hearts knowing she’s spent so much of her young life in the shelter instead of a home of her own.Virginia came to us over a year ago as a teeny tiny kitten from a tough situation. She had been living in a home with multiple other cats and arrived very scared and not well socialized. Thankfully, she was able to spend several weeks in a wonderful foster home where she started learning what life as a house cat is all about. By the time she returned to the shelter, she was much more comfortable with her caregivers and not nearly as afraid of people.Virginia is a cat’s cat through and through. She really relies on the comfort and presence of other cats for confidence and security, so we believe she would do best in a home with feline friends to keep her company. She can still be a little skittish when meeting new people and tends to be more of an independent girl, but if you give her time to settle in, you’ll see what a sweet girl she truly is. She’s friendly with the people she knows and loves spending her afternoons lounging in her cat tower and soaking up the sunshine.This pretty girl has spent so much of her young life in a shelter environment. Marsh is a handsome tabby with the chubbiest cheeks around!A few weeks ago, Marsh was found alone in a ditch on Behnfeldt Road. Thankfully, a kind man working in the area stopped to help and brought him to FDHS so he could have a chance at finding his happily ever after. It's pretty clear that Marsh belonged to someone at some point. He's incredibly friendly with staff and volunteers and is always looking for an opportunity to sneak in a few extra pets. If you're standing still, there's a good chance Marsh will be rubbing against your legs trying to convince you that attention should be a full-time job.This easygoing guy gets along great with the other cats he shares his space with and doesn't seem too concerned about the dogs nearby either. Between his good looks, laid-back personality, and affectionate nature, Marsh is going to make one lucky family a wonderful companion. **Neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention**

Hi, I’m Sammy!I’ve been hanging out at FDHS for a few months now, and I’m starting to think I might be one of the shelter’s best kept secrets. When I first got here, my best friend Bella was by my side. We spent our days snoozing together and keeping each other company until she found her forever family. I’m so happy for her… but I have to admit, I miss having my buddy around.Lucky for me, I’m a pretty easygoing guy. My favorite hobbies include lounging, purring, accepting pets, and turning any available lap into my personal bed. If you’re looking for a cat who’s content just hanging out by your side, I think we’d get along great.I do well with the other cats here, but I’m such a laid back fella that I usually let the bigger personalities have their way and tend to get bullied. I’d fit in best with another calm kitty, or I’d be perfectly happy soaking up all of your attention instead.I’ve been patiently waiting for my turn, and I have a feeling my person is out there somewhere.
