Clementine was part of a TNR colony and she seemed to be so sweet and calm. She is now spayed, tested and getting used to being safe and comfortable without having to scrounge for food. She seems to be ok with other kitties. She has not met dogs yet. Probably would do best in a home of adults only. She has a very unique look to her with her one orange leg. This cat nearly broke us...emotionally. She has our hearts. Meet Kaylee, one of our Meadowlands rescue cats (cat #21). The last to bring in from the project. So why is Kaylee last? Kaylee always stayed back...for food, for attention, for any shred of any normalcy that existed...she allowed the others to go first...even being rescued...she chose to be last. Kaylee suffered alone in silence. Waiting for someone to notice her, waiting for medical care, waiting for relief, that never came...day after day, week after week, year after year. Meet Kiki! This beautiful girl is Kiki, an approximately 11-month-old rare gray dilute tortie/calico mix who is looking for her forever home. Kiki was previously adopted, but sadly has been returned through absolutely no fault of her own. Her family has found themselves traveling more and realized they can’t give Kiki the time and care she deserves. Kiki is a quirky, unique little girl with a personality all her own! She may take a few days to warm up when meeting someone new, so she will need a family willing to give her a little patience and time to settle in. Once she feels safe and comfortable, she can really start to show you who she is. Sometimes the cats who take a little extra time to trust you become the most rewarding companions. Kiki deserves a home where she can feel secure, loved, and truly forever. Could that be with you?

Lady Gaga is a quiet and gentle cat who, after living a rough life before being rescued, appreciates patience and softness from her caretakers. She enjoys being close to people and loves cuddles on her own terms, rather than being picked up. When she wants affection, she may gently and repetitively paw for attention or lie on her back with her belly up to let you know she’s ready for cuddles. Due to a minor leg issue that appears to be from an old injury, Lady Gaga generally prefers a more laid back lifestyle over running and jumping. She would love a home that lets her set the pace, where she will offer a sweet and calm presence and adorable little snores while she sleeps. Lady Gaga has experienced several ear infections while in our care and both of her ear drums were ruptured. While this doesn't cause her daily issues or pain, it does mean she's more susceptible to ear infections in general. Her adopter will need to flush her ears twice-weekly with saline solution and monitor her for signs of infection.

Thresher charms everyone at first sight with her wide, inquisitive eyes. She is an energetic and playful kitty who loves to jump, climb, and explore every nook and cranny. She likes to hang around her human with the hope that she can rope you into a game of fetch with a toy mouse—bounding after a mouse thrown across the room is her favorite thing ever! You might even find random toys and objects turn up on your bed after she’s done playing with them, as a friendly offering. Thresher enjoys pets and being in close proximity to people but doesn’t sit still for very long. Instead of climbing into your lap, she prefers to walk back and forth in front of you while you pet her, sometimes even standing up on her hind legs to bump her head against your hand. She is curious and fascinated by other cats and would love to have another cat friend to follow around and wrestle with. Bright-eyed, clever, and sometimes a bit mischievous, she is also very sweet. At the end of the day, she dutifully follows her person to bed and settles down nearby. She’s not one to cuddle, but she may reach out a paw to touch you while she’s sleeping. Thresher would do well in a home with lots of opportunity for her to roam and play, but she is also great at entertaining herself, whether it’s chirping at birds outside, pouncing on her own tail, or scaling and balancing atop a scratching post.
