Meet Wanda IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN WANDA, PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO READ ABOUT THE PROCESS AND FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. www.furkidrescue.org Wanda was a young teenage kitten when we trapped her in a feral colony in Bethel Park. We had a cat experienced foster home willing to take her in as a foster and get her used to domestic life. It took months, but now she loves the indoors, and loves human affection and attention. She follows her foster mom, Emilie, around the house, “yelling” at her, and demanding pets and butt scratches. She also gets along well with the resident cats and dog, and you can often find her hanging out with the dog!

Story
Sultan and Shams are both brothers and are inseparable. I have had them for many years but I was blessed with a bay daughter so it became difficult to give them the focus and time they deserve. They are both playful. Sultan, the black and white tabby, is more outgoing while Shams, the orange tabby, is shy but more loving. They are trained and have an automatic litter box and automatic feeder. They are independent and only need a little attention. They are healthy and up to date with health. The only maintenance is clipping their nails every two weeks, emptying litter box disposable bag, and refilling their feeder. They are both indoor cats and not acquainted to outdoors. They are very friendly and only need 2 or 3 days to get familiar with you. I just want someone who can give them a nice home together and provide them with love and support. It would be nice if they would stay in contact with me as well since I do dearly care for them but cannot at the moment due to family.

Story
Hi there! My name is Raya. I am a brown tabby estimated at about a year old. I was named as a queen who deserves her own castle and companion. I like to spend cuddly time melting my head and body into your hand and accepting all the chin rubs you have to offer. This is my favorite time and way to bond with my human. I get extremely excited when receiving attention. I am sure to tell you all about how much I enjoy it with my chattiness that usually only comes out when I am pet. Since becoming a mom and my children moving onto their own homes, I have often enjoyed spending time with the humans, older cats, independently relaxing and rejuvenating. Having a hide out to lounge in is my favorite. I thrive on humane attention, soaking up all the pets and affection you have to give. My kittens did most of the playing so toys are new to me and I am curious with them. I am fairly quiet laid back and relaxed kind of girl, The only time you can hear me loud and clear is when I munch crunchy treats or enjoy a meal. I share spaces with other cats and do not pay mind to the dog. I have been fostered with children. I express mutual respect for others spaces. I am now vetted and awaiting to be someone's charm. My Story: I was found outside at an apartment complex as a heavily pregnant teen kitty in fall of 2024 at approximately 6 months old. On this Friday afternoon, I was rescued into a warm place and given a best to become comfy in. I had to wait until Monday to be taken in for a spay appointment. I was restless, tossing and turning, getting up and down to try to become comfortable. I popped out 3 babies overnight early Monday 4am while awaiting to be taken to a walk in Spay appointment that morning. I worked hard taking care of her littlest baby that was smaller than the other 2 whom unfortunately did not make it. After the babies started walking and eating on their own, I felt within that I reached another level of motherhood and accomplishment. Schedule a Meet and Greet today to see if I am a good fit as your Queen. ** To Adopt Contact: Apply with your Name, Phone number, email address and Animal of interest if Applicable to: 724-393-0348 or NPLBrescue@gmail.com

Story
My name is Garol, I am a gal that will brighten your day. I am comical to watch with a quirky personality. My foster mom says I am good at rolling over to show you my belly. That means I am comfortable with you. I love affection and crave belly rubs the most. My absolute favorite place to be is on the cat tree. This is a must to have in my new home, any kind works for me, this is just where I like to be. Boxes are also my bed. I would be a great companion for any home. I enjoy the company of other cats and I get along with kids. My best friend is my fosters personal cat (who is an orange tabby). I do not mind the dogs. Schedule a greet with me to see if I would be a good addition to your home. Named origin: Named after Saturday Night Live Skit Her story: NPLB was called to help because I was injured. The top of my hip bone by my tail on my back was fully ripped opened and exposed from some sort of injury. I was trapped and treated. The wound took several treatments to heal. I have gained weight and thrive with the company of other pets and people indoors. I once was shy and timid and now I am outgoing, loving and affection seeking. Story
Meet Toby, Meet Toby, a 1-year-old brown tabby who is a bundle of love with a heart as big as his courage. Toby’s journey hasn’t been easy, but he’s faced every challenge with bravery, resilience, and an unshakeable belief in better days. His time on the streets may have been tough, but through it all, Toby has kept his head held high and his hopes high too. Now that he's found safety, Toby is eager to share all his love with you. He’s a people cat and can’t wait to be by your side – whether you're human, a kid, or even another cat. But Toby’s best friend? Dogs! He’s absolutely crazy about them and would love to find a home where he can have a furry canine companion to share his days with. We find him keeping himself entertained by playing with some of his favorite toys: hair ties & milk rings. Although Toby gets along with other cats, he would also enjoy being King Kitty of the Kastle. Toby is incredibly affectionate, always looking for opportunities to rub up against you and offer companionship. He’ll follow you from room to room, greet you at the door, and just be the most loving presence in your life. With his proud and confident demeanor, Toby is ready to share his resilience and endless affection with his forever family. If you’re looking for a loving, brave, and incredibly social kitty to join your family, Toby might just be the best friend you’ve been waiting for. Name Meaning: The name "Toby" means "God is good" and is derived from the Hebrew name "Tobias". Toby earned his name with receiving a 2nd chance at life with us to be healed and find his forever family. His Story: Toby was found in a colony of 20+ cats in Smithfield, PA in Fayette County. NPLB was called to help when he was severely injured. None of the cats at the colony were fixed. Toby was transported to us and we were able to get him into the vet to be clipped, cleaned and stitched up. It appeared at 1st that he was bitten by a dog. His jaw was ripped open from underneath tearing a bigger than thumb size hole open in his throat. You could literally see his veins and organs inside the hole. Even with this extreme injury, he showed not 1 sign of pain or anger. He showed nothing but love and affection, thankfulness and confidence. He has extremely friendly nature towards all dogs, we think if he was attacked by a dog, he would possibly fear them. Although we are not sure if he was attacked by an animal, or stick in a fence or trap, we knew he needed help. The rest of the kitties received TNR by a rescue who teamed up with us to tackle the colony while we cared for Toby to help manage the population. Story
Once she warms up, Della loves to be near the action. She's a healthy eater and likes treats. Her favorite place to sleep is near a window where she can survey the neighborhood. Della came to the rescue with 4 kittens and she was a great mom. All her kittens were adopted but Della is still waiting for her furever home. Della loves head scratches and pets when it's her idea (usually when you're sitting still somewhere) but she's not a lap cat or snuggler. She does fine with other cats. She's very playful and sometimes even acrobatic.

Story
Part of our larger "bird" kitten crew, sisters Owl (grey tabby female) and Chickadee (grey female) came into our care when they both had litters of kittens at the same time. They were great moms and are now happy to be retired from parenting. They are good friends and are looking for a quiet home together. Having grown up outside and only around humans some, they are still wary of human interaction. They would need patient humans who can steadily earn their trust and respect boundaries, with no guarantees of their eventual dispositions. Owl is a little more outgoing than her sister Chickadee and will tolerate some pets while enjoying treats. Owl is at the lounge, so you can visit her there during open hours. She may be hard to spot though as she'll be securely tucked in a hiding spot away from all the activity.
