Sassy is a beautiful calico cat who is around 1.5-2 years old. This sweet girl hasn’t had the easiest life. Prior to our rescue taking her in, she was with another rescue who adopted out of Petco and Petsmart, where she was sent. Being in a glass box was not for Sassy. Being poked, prodded and stared at every day for hours upon hours turned her from a very loving cat to a very scared and withdrawn one. This is when the rescue decided to surrender her to us where we could safely put her in a foster home. She has been in a foster home for about 3 months and is thriving now. She has come out of her shell and learned she’s safe once again. No more glass boxes for her. The foster says this about her: Friendly Vocal – Loves to talk to you Loves to explore and roam around Loves cat trees Learning to love what toys are again Gets along with other cats, but prefers her own space Would do fine with older children, ideally no young ones for Sassy Dogs would be fine with slow introductions (refer to pictures with dog in the background) Wonderful lap cat Very Entertaining Inside Only Sassy is a calmer cat that loves to lay around and just hang out. Sassy is spayed, FIV/ FLV Tested negative, current on vaccinations, microchipped, will be seen by a vet and given a clean bill of health prior to adoption. Her name is Beatrix and she lives up to her name's Latin origins of "voyager" or "traveler". This little lady was a stray. Outside, cold, hungry, and severely underweight. She wandered into the neighborhood and found the right home to take her in and help her on her next voyage of finding a permanent family. We estimate Beatrix is about 10 months old. Beatrix loves to be pet and to receive affection. She seeks attention and is an appreciative kitty. Beatrix is young and enthusiastic and chases after strings, shoelaces, crinkle balls and runs throughout the house. She is learning how to interact & socialize with other cats and is making continuous progress. She is spayed and received rabies and feline distemper vaccines. No food allergies. She is litter trained.

Meet Shayman! This beautifully marked calico is waiting for her home. Shayman loves attention, loves to be petted and will throw herself in front of you on the floor to receive pets. Shayman is "aloof" to other cats. She is in a room with others and she is fine with them but would not want another cat to pest her. She would be perfectly content to be your one and only! Shayman was born in 2016, she is 7 years old. Shayman has a lot of life and love to share with you. Shayman is "ready to go." Meet sweet Rosie 💕 Rosie is an absolute doll who is quickly becoming a volunteer favorite. She is so incredibly gentle and sweet. She looks at you with her great big eyes and give a tiny little meow for attention. Once volunteers start petting her they have a very hard time leaving as she guilts you again with those great big eyes. Rosie came to our shelter as a stray in very rough condition. She was incredibly matted, and had ear, skin, and urinary infections. We aren’t sure if her condition was from living outside or poor care while inside a home. Rosie was recently treated for a bladder stone and will need to stay on a veterinary prescription diet to ward off any further complications. Rosie does also other medical conditions. She has severe mobility difficulties resulting in lack of being able to move long distances. Rosie would need a home that can provide her with a small area of living space with all her necessities within her reach. Due to difficulty getting into a litter box Rosie is pee pad trained. Rosie also has diminished vision. We believe Rosie to be a munchkin mix as she has very short widdle legs Rosie needs a nice quiet home where she can enjoy an amazing loving home she so deserves. Rosie is estimated in her senior years and has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for felv/fiv, and microchipped. She gets along with most cats and plays from time to time. She was already spayed when found and is now current on her vaccines and has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. Her age is unknown, but, based on the condition of her teeth, she may be an older adult. References and a small adoption donation are required. This handsome little devil is Hunter! He thoroughly enjoys all the attention he can get- but just like some of us, he’s not too keen on being picked up. Honestly- same here Hunter! He simply prefers to keep all four on the floor, and that’s fine with us. He will give you full displays of love and affection through interpretive floor dances and rubbing himself all over you. You know he’s in love when you see that little belly on display! There is nothing quite like having a cute little tubby kitty perform the ‘you’re my favorite person’ floor rolls every day! That’s livin’!

Say hello to Furn! He had a rough life before he was rescued and brought here to Hillside- but he certainly doesn’t let it get him down. He does have a pretty severe head tilt due to long term lack of treatment for an ear infection before he came into our care. Despite the cards he was dealt, Furn makes the best of every day. He is a very resilient, friendly, curious kitty. He can be silly and entertaining, loyal and loving. We just think Furn deserves the world- don’t you?

Mumby is an adult female brought to shelter with several of her friends. She is friendly but very scared so we hope her stay will be a short one
