Calico kittens & cats in Franklin, Tennessee

Mama Tao is a gorgeous and petite dilute calico female. She was found as a pregnant stray on the streets of Nashville, but acts like she’s been indoors her whole life. She enjoys looking out the window, scratching her cardboard scratching post, and lounging near people in gorgeous poses. Mama Tao is estimated to be 1-2 years old and still loves being picked up and carried around like a baby. She hasn’t figured out playing yet, though. She is litter trained and gets along with other cats and kids; she tolerates our dogs, but isn’t the biggest fan. If she joins a family with cats, she will tend towards being dominant. Callies mom has gone into memory care so this girl needs your help. Callie is 11 yo, spayed, up to date on all vaccinations as well as heartworm and flea/tick prevention. She is very healthy. She had a complete physical yesterday (6-29-26). We found her when she was around 8 weeks old. She is an INSIDE cat.  She is independent-minded and loves to prey on things with feathers and bells. MJ is a 2 year old calico I rescued as a 3-4 week old orphan. She's curious, playful, curious, and affectionate once she gets to know you. She forms deep bonds with her people. She greets you at the door with a hug on the leg when you get home and will sleep nearby or on you all night long. MJ also has a sensitive nervous system from being separated from her mother at such a young age and never having littermates. This means she will occasionally have tail chasing/swatting episodes when she is gets overstimulated (even by stuff she loves). She's made measurable progress in her coping skills as she's matured into adulthood. She eats a simple wet-food diet and does best with gum free recipes. MJ's ideal home is calm and consistent, a work from home person or family, retired, semi-retired, or just around the house often. She enjoys chasing after her toys and supervised outdoor time where she watches birds and bugs. MJ is special and has a lot to offer to her next family and home!

Kitty Gaga came with her two older kittens. She has raised them and is now looking for a home for herself. Kitty is a bit shy bit opens up to attention and plenty of head pets. We're guessing she will do well with other cats and are planning to introduce her to friends. She's estimated to be around 2 years old and is already spayed.  ##2795447##

Willow never imagined she would be searching for a new home at 10 years old.  Recently, the loving mom who adored Willow and her many beloved cats passed away, leaving these precious souls suddenly without the only home they had ever known. Now Willow finds herself grieving not only the loss of her person, but also the comfort and security she once had. This beautiful senior girl is everything you hope for in a companion cat — gentle, peaceful, and full of quiet love. Willow enjoys the simple things in life: cozy naps, good meals, soft places to rest, and every now and then, a playful little burst of energy that reminds you she still has plenty of spirit left. With her long fluffy fur, striking green eyes, and calm presence, she carries herself with such regal elegance. Willow’s daughter is Ethel, and the two share a special bond. From her foster mom...her story : Born around the end of October 2023, this lovely lady has been with me for almost a year.  She was rescued from a field and lived briefly in a resident hotel room with an older lady that saved her from the woods but simply could not support her.  She was initially very scared to be in my home, in the foster kitty room, but she quickly bonded with another CCR foster cat,Grey's Angel , that is close to her age.  And they are still buddies!  It mystifies me why they are both still here?  Just look at Cookie’s beautiful black and white markings!  You almost want to take a bite out of her!  She certainly makes me crave my favorite cookies….Oreos!  I started calling her Cookie, good Cookie, and it stuck.  She is such a good Cookie.  She has never been sick.  She has never been aggressive.  She has never been a demanding type of cat.  She just sits back and chills.  She watches me when I enter the foster room, patiently waiting for her turn for some loving.  She immediately jumps up to the top shelf of the tower, to enable me to scratch her head.  She rolls over to let me scratch her belly.  She just wants and needs just a little attention.  You barely hear a peep out of Cookie.  She is happy watching the birds in the Crepe Myrtle trees, dreaming about one day catching them.  Cookie and Grey's Angel have what I call “an old married couple’s” relationship!  They are happy and grooming each other one moment, and walking in opposite directions the next!  Then they will suddenly chase each other up the wall tower, to the top wall-shelf!  That wall-shelf has become her favorite perch.  Cookie just sits back and chills.  It seems that her only stress for the day is picking where to nap!  Relax and chill.  Cookie will be a great cat for someone that wants a quiet companion.  Do you have an older parent that could use a “subtle” companion?  Or is that you?  A cat that does not get too rowdy?  A cat that does not scream for food?  A cat that needs little attention?  Lazy?  Perhaps.  Relaxed?  Low maintenance?  Definitely.  Cookie has seldom been without another cat.  She has always been with and tolerated many other fosters in the kitty room.  But I question just how special she would become if she was the only cat in the house?  She might become your shadow!  Your best buddy!  Your Good Cookie!  I know there is a perfect forever home out there for this kitty.  Is she the Cookie for you?  Please write to critter cavalry.Rescue, at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.  Please tell us where you live, city and state.  Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped.
