Story
Annie's early days were tough. She was given to my grandmother as a kitten in 2013 where she endured a life of isolation and bullying from other pets. She escaped them by living under & behind furniture. When my grandmother passed in 2021, we welcomed Annie into our home. Overweight, fearful, and tangled in mats, she needed care. Through patience and affection, Annie "got her groove back." Now, Annie thrives - no longer hiding, she grooms regularly and loves her cuddles. We've since discovered that Annie is battling triaditis, affecting her pancreas, liver, and intestines. She is on a restrictive rabbit diet, antibiotics, and occasional steroids. Because of this, she does vomit about once a week. Unfortunately, her past trauma makes harmony with my cats impossible despite exhaustive efforts. She's just not willing to play nice. Which isn't fair to her or my other cats. So we need to find a new home for Annie.

Story
Adopted Stella 6 years ago from Austin Pets Alive ( 8 weeks old at time of adoption). She was adopted along side another cat and they have lived together since. She has recently become aggressive toward the other cat in our home. She does have a fear of men and children. Would do better in a single pet household. Loves butt scratches but also gets over stimulated most of the time.

Story
Izzy is a grown-up girl, with striking calico colors and green-gold  eyes.  And she’s polydactyl, which means she has a an “extra” toe. Polydactyl cats are considered special kitties, and she is special in many ways.   She is shy at first with new people and places, but with every day that she gets to know you, Izzy warms up and becomes friendly and approachable. Her sweet personality eventually blossoms. She shows her excitement by grazing your leg and approaching for play. She loves humans who act silly with her, getting down on the floor at her level for a loving, creative and playful connection. Once she has gained confidence, she is up for anything, pets, playing, cuddles, brushing her beautiful coat of many colors.   She has a fairly low energy level and is well - mannered . She prefers to lounge around and hangout with her people but does enjoy a romp with her favorite string and catnip toys. One of her more recent favorites is to curl up in blankets like a kitty burrito, completely cozy and happy!    Izzy is a gentle soul and thrives in a quieter environment where she can share the love and affection of her humans. Loud noise ,  lots of activity , and strangers make her nervous and shy and she tends to hide under her blanket.  She likes adults and older children that can play at her level and understand her gentle nature. She prefers humans over other animals and in particular does not care for dogs. She needs to have a very clean litter box that is “just for her” and away from too much commotion.    Izzy would love to be the quiet queen of your home. She is a great companion and easy to get along with, doesn’t meow much, is patient about food and feeding. If you are looking for a sweetly charming and regal kitty, Izzy could be your girl !a April 30, 2024, 9:02 am

Story
Fabio gets along well with most other cats but he tends to like to spend his spare time with humans. He is incredibly inquisitive and is mesmerized by a dripping water faucet! He loves to be petted and when you stop, he will ask for your hand back to continue. He does get bullied by one of our other cats and has tend to spend some time darting this other cat. We have caged Fabio to shield him from this bully cat, but he prefers to stand his own ground and hang out in the common area with the other cats. Fabio is the first cats waiting for his breakfast, he does prefer his own bowl and will give you the look to make one for him. When filling the sink with water, he will take the opportunity to walk under a volunteers arms to make you pet him whether you were ready or not. He can be feisty at times but that is a cat for you.

Story
My name is Jack and I was brought to the shelter with my brothers. I am the only one of the brothers left at the shelter. Since I have been here for a bit, I have become a little bit of a bully to the newer cats. I am affectionate and love to be petted to the volunteers. I love to hang out in the catio or on top of the cages where I can watch all the action of the other cats. Although I live with a other cats, I might do best being the King of your world and only cat. I can jump super high and I am quick!

Story
Mia introduced herself to our local middle school by hanging around the band building. She was brought to the shelter and has become a shelter favorite. Mia has a beautiful coat and loves to jump out of her cage to hang out. She doesn't seem to care much for the other cats who come near her to say hi, she hisses at them. She is fairly independent and would do best in a home without little children.
