Story
Meet Kemah! This sweet 8-year-old calico is looking for a calm, loving home where she can truly thrive. She was adopted as a kitten from Austin Animal Center and has been a beloved companion ever since. Kemah is an affectionate girl who loves being petted, especially around her neck, and she enjoys playful sessions with toys. When it's time to wind down, she can be found soaking up the sun or curling up at the foot of the bed. She is an indoor-only cat and has no health issues. If you're looking for a gentle, low-maintenance feline friend who enjoys a peaceful environment, Kemah could be the perfect companion for you. She’s ready to find a new home.

Story
Carrot is a loving and sweet cat. She loves to snuggle. Her favorite place to be is right next to you! She is particular about how she is touched though. You have to watch her signs or she will scratch. She loves kids but they have to know how to read her signals. Carrot has wobbly cat syndrome. She is able to walk but is clumsy and awkward. She can jump on low furniture and cat trees but does not jump high and isn’t coordinated. Because my son and husband are allergic carrot lives in a section of the house with her sister. They don’t get alone and she also doesn’t always get a human in there with her especially if the kids aren’t home. Lately she’s been using the restroom outside the box. We have done a lot to remediate this behavior and while it will get better she often regresses. We suspect that it’s a behavioral issue stemming from loneliness and not liking her sister. She would do well in a home without other pets and with more attention.

Story
Meet Molly a 3-year-old petite cat who adores affection and exploring her surroundings. Despite having FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), Molly remains vibrant and healthy, showing no signs of illness. FIV, transmitted primarily through deep bites, hasn't slowed Molly down one bit. She's a social butterfly who thrives on attention and can happily coexist with FIV-negative cats. With her spirited personality and resilient health, Molly proves that FIV-positive cats can lead fulfilling lives alongside their feline friends. Her happy squeak meows make her the purrrfect companion at home If you are interested in adopting from the City of Georgetown Animal Shelter, please fill out an application at https://records.georgetown.org/Forms/AdoptApp . Approved applicants will be contacted to schedule an appointment to meet available dogs and cats. Please contact the shelter with any additional questions The application/screening process for potential adopters usually takes about 24 hours except when it falls over a weekend or holiday, and then it may take two or three days. We ask that potential adopters please be patient with us; we are only trying our best to ensure that the homeless pets in our care get the best possible home. All cats and dogs adopted from our shelter are spayed or neutered (as Texas law mandates). Our adoption fee is currently $70 for non-residents and $75 for residents*. The adoption fee includes: spaying/neutering vaccinations (appropriate to species and age) heartworm or feline leukemia test (appropriate to species and age) de-worming medication microchip (a tiny ID tag inserted under the skin, which allows your pet to be returned to you quickly) There is a $5 Pet License fee added to the adoption fee if the adopter lives inside the City Limits of Georgetown. Story
Ballerina is a 4 y/o calico. I adopted her last year from an acquaintance's mother who could no longer take care of her. The reason I'm rehoming her is because she doesn't get along well with my senior cat. She's fine with the younger one. She doesn't mind my young kids either! We are moving at the beginning of June, so we'd like her to have a new home by then. She is sugar sweet and loves attention. She'll catch any bugs in the house, too! If she wants you to continue petting her, she'll reach out and grab your hand with her paws and pull you back! I think she's would be happy as an only cat or with younger/ healthier friends (my senior is a bit sickly/ weak). Please DM me for serious inquiries!

Story
(Read this with the voice of Antonio Banderas) Hello, my name is Roberto. I am the best cat at TXHH, everyone says so... it`s why they keep my handsome self in the lobby for all the humans to see and admire. My soulful eyes will make your heart burst from your chest and then I`ll make you some of my award-winning biscuits. I make the best biscuits in town, like my Abuelita taught me. I am a chonky boy but can also run like the wind! I may need a quick nap to recover from running like the wind but nevertheless, I run. I like to play with toys, sleep by my favorite people, hang out with approved cat friends, and show dogs I`m the jefe with a few `ba-pa-pows` of my paws. I am not a fan of little children who will chase me and not respect my boundaries. I`m also a stereotypical male tabby cat who likes to give love bites... sometimes my love overfloweth and the love bites get too hard but tell me too hard and I`ll stop. Come visit me. You`ll know I like you if I stretch up on your leg then slide myself down, pulling your pants with me.

Story
This little (big) FIV+ boy is a sweet heart and the quickest way to his heart is food. He will literally scream for food and seems to be fine with other cats but would definitely need space. It takes a little bit of time for him to warm up to other cats but he LOVES to make friends with people and wants all the attention.
