Story
This girl is one of the most beautiful, most stunning brindle babes we've met. Lila's amber-colored eyes and silky soft fur only add to her beauty! And her personality. The more time we spend with Lila, the more and more we fall in love with her. Lila loves to snuggle close and takes it upon herself to be a lap dog. She is loyal, funny, active, and totally dialed-in if you have any kind of yummy dog treat! Lila will chase the ball and will sit politely before you throw it again. She listens like a champ and is tennis ball and treat-motivated. Lila seems to do best with easy-going male dogs who are good to play for a little bit then are content to sniff around and enjoy each other's company. She asks for any dogs to be around her size and for no kitties or smaller critters. She'd also be fine to be the only furbaby. We think children about 10ish and up could be great for her! Everything about Lila points to her being the best best-friend you could ever have. She is about 60-pounds, is about two years old, and she is spayed.

Story
Kingston was born March 23, 2022. He’s a sweet, protective family dog. Before family health issues, he LOVED doggy daycare & got along great with other dogs. He still loves running free on the farm and family walks. With a schedule, he has no house accidents—but if not, accidents happen only in the basement/his room. He plays with mom the ‘push over’ but listens to every word of dad. He LOVES his 2 brothers—one in high school, one in college. He was trained at Landheim as a pup and did AMAZING! We didn’t keep up with reinforcing his training—our fault, not his. When packages arrive, he gets excited thinking they’re for him (they usually were!). He loves car rides for pup cups. Sadly, due to life changes, we’re rehoming him to get the attention he truly deserves instead of the basement/backyard routine. We love him too much to be selfish.

Story
We are at a loss for words. The neglect that Austine has suffered is real. Her tail was injured when she was found, and the bone was exposed. Her chest has a strip of skin rough and raw from whatever (we don't want to think) was pressed against it for a long, long period of time. And she is underweight. The good thing about her injuries is that she will recover. That would happen so much quicker in a home instead of a kennel. Arrived at the shelter 1/31/25 For questions, please email caccadoptables@gmail.com *Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL *The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID. *All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs. *Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
