Story
Welcome Bob to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 5.5 year old Cane Corso/Mastiff mixed dog. He is about 70 pounds and he is very sweet. He is now ready for his forever home. He is an adorable bubble blower and he had the most adorable drool on the video. If you love the Mastiff breed then you know they drool. It is a part of their charm. He will be a loyal boy and he is lower on the energy scale. He was extremely happy to be walking her at the rescue. We have been spending lots of time getting all the adult dogs good on leash. He has a lower coat and not a huge shedding dog. He would be great for an older couple looking for a large and lower energy companion. He would also be good for a family where the man works out of town and he wants to know his kids and wife feel safe with a dog watching the scene. He is healthy and getting vaccines. He is neutered and ready for his forever home. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally. We work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. He is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. . Story
Nova, is a delightful 3 year old Cane Corso, weighing 100lb and would fit perfectly into a family setting. Not only is she affectionate and playful, but she also has a natural instinct for home security. Nova is incredibly protective of her home and will promptly alert you to any strangers or potential trespassers approaching. Her imposing bark and presence at the window are enough to deter any would-be intruder. Nova is a remarkably intelligent dog, eager to learn and please.. However, she does require an experienced dog family who can lead her with confidence. Setting boundaries and maintaining a consistent daily routine are essential for her sense of safety and protection. When she feels secure, she is calm and well-behaved. Nova enjoys outings to places like Home Depot and pet stores, where she interacts well with strangers. In summary, Nova is a loving and protective dog who thrives under strong and consistent leadership. She would make a wonderful addition to any family

Story
Caine is a very good boy, he’s good with older kids, and needs to be walked daily. Will not do well with small dogs. Big dogs will take a while to warm up to. He is a cane corso so they demand time and energy, will be destructive if his exercise needs aren’t met. He needs someone who won’t mind being followed, he will become your best friend. Loves toys, stuffed animals, needs toys that will last. Serious inquirers only, he isn’t an apartment dog , needs space, preferably a big yard. giving him up isn’t an easy decision all he needs is a good home.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
OTHER PETS: Nala is interested in other dogs and does her best to show how much she wants to play, but can come on too strong and may be too much for some dogs. Though she hasn't had a high energy level around people, she can get very excited with dogs and tends to play bow and pounce in an attempt to play. [Case-By-Case (Must Meet First)]OWNER EXPERIENCE: Nala is a larger dog that would do best with someone that has experience with positive reinforcement, and has owned larger dogs before, especially since she has a tendency to pull on the leash. Positive reinforcement will help any guardian teach loose-leash walking skills. [Some Experience]KIDS: Nala can be uncomfortable with some types of handling, but tends to be very focused on her people. She can also be skittishh & jumpy around loud or sudden noises, so she would likely do best in a home with kids that are old enough to understand how to keep interactions relaxed and when to let her have her own space. As always, interactions between children and dogs should always be actively monitored to ensure that both parties remain comfortable and safe. [10+ (Must Meet First)]ACTIVITY LEVEL: Nala hasn't shown a huge interest in toys while at TJO, but she will gladly stick close to her people while walking around. Though she hasn't shown much energy while at TJO, it's possible that could change once she's out of the shelter and settled into her new environment. A combination of regular exercise and plenty of mental enrichment such as food puzzles and games will help meet her needs. [Good Walking Buddy]VETERINARY CARE: [Routine]LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Nala is well-versed in her basic cues, already knowing `sit`, `down`, and `paw`! She has a tendency to pull on the leash during walks, but is quick to learn with positive reinforcement. Positive reinforcement training will help Lana to not only expand her understanding of basic cues & skills, but also help her to bond with her new owner while building confidence. [Minimal]GROOMING: Routine brushing will help to minimize shedding in the home. [Minimal]December 5, 2025, 3:58 pm

Story
Mater is a big goofy boy! He loves going on walks around our field, people, and dogs. He loves roughhousing with dogs, but we prefer that he goes to a home with bigger dogs just because he’s so big himself! He’s great with children of all ages! He loves spending time with people and even loves being dressed up!
