Her journey to this point has been nothing short of remarkable. She had a tough start to life, found by a kind soul who saw she was severely burned from head to tail. Thanks to exceptional veterinary care and the loving attention of her medical foster, she’s now healthy and thriving. Phoenix had a tough start to life and is going to need someone who will be patient with this sweet girl to help her feel safe.  She will need a home where she can be the only dog.  If you would like to meet her and see if she would be a good fit for your family please email janellemiller@yahoo.comMarch 7, 2026, 1:15 pm

Story
Hi… I’m Monica. I might not be the kind of girl who runs right up to greet you—but if you give me a little time, I promise I’m worth the wait. I’m a 5-year-old Cane Corso, and new people and new places can make me a bit unsure at first. I like to take things slow, observe, and figure out if everything feels safe. But once I do? That’s when you’ll see the real me—the loyal, gentle, deeply loving companion I truly am. A peaceful home, a predictable routine, and someone patient who understands that good things take time—that’s where I shine. Loud, busy environments aren’t really my style, but a cozy space with someone kind? That’s my dream.FOSTER REASON: I am waiting on a dental procedure before I can be ready for adoption. I am available for Foster-To-Adopt though so we can get to know each other before making things official. Come meet me from 12 PM to 5 PM, open every day. No application or appointment required - walk-ins welcome. SPCA of Texas, 2400 Lone Star Drive, Dallas, TX 75212

Story
Hey there… I’m Cairo. I’ve been waiting to meet you. I’m 3 years old, which I think is a pretty great age. I’ve figured out a lot about the world already — like how nice a soft bed feels, how exciting a walk can be, and how much I love being around people. I’m the kind of dog who notices when you’ve had a long day and quietly stays close. I’ll happily follow you from room to room, just to make sure you’re not alone. I enjoy playtime, of course — toys, sniffing adventures, exploring the outdoors — but my favorite moments are the calm ones we share together. Come meet me from 12 PM to 6 PM, open every day.
