Story
Meet Arnold “Arnie” – A Gentle Giant Ready for His Second Chance Arnold, lovingly called Arnie, is an 8-year-old Cane Corso with a story that spans continents. Born in Russia and brought to the United States for backyard breeding, Arnie’s early life was about producing puppies — not being someone’s cherished companion. Now neutered and officially retired (he is registered with the International Cane Corso Federation), Arnie is finally getting the chance to learn what it means to simply be a dog — and he’s ready to find a patient, understanding home to continue that journey. Arnie has completed heartworm treatment and is on the road to a healthier, happier future. He is crate trained and settles well in his crate, though he will shred plush beds — so blankets or chew-proof bedding are best. He loves to chew (a lot!), so plenty of durable chew toys and supervision when he’s not crated are a must. He is not fully house trained yet and will need consistency and structure. Arnie also has coprophagia, so immediate yard cleanup is necessary. The good news? He is extremely food motivated and not food aggressive at all, which makes training much easier. Right now, “sit” and "shake" are the only commands he knows, but he is eager to learn and will thrive with someone committed to continuing his training. Arnie would do wonderfully with another stable, well-mannered dog who can serve as a role model. He has a low prey drive and does well around cats, choosing to calmly ignore them. Because he is still learning that jumping isn’t appropriate and can be strong on leash (he is not leash trained and does pull), a home without small children would be best. Bath time isn’t his favorite, but with calm direction, he will walk into the tub willingly. He is tolerant of nail trims and generally cooperative with handling. Arnie appears to carry some past trauma; he can become fearful and cry around certain men, particularly those with deeper voices or darker complexions. With patience, reassurance, and positive experiences, he continues to build confidence and trust. Arnie is a big, sensitive soul who simply never had the chance to be someone’s beloved companion. He will need structure, supervision, and continued training — but in return, you’ll get a loyal, devoted dog who is finally learning what safety and kindness feel like. If you’re experienced with large breeds, believe in second chances, and are ready to help a gentle giant write his next chapter, Arnie is waiting. 🖤 If you are interested in Arnold please reach out to Tramp's Rescue to complete an application! He is currently in Virginia Beach, VA. trampsrescue@yahoo.com (804) 248-3042

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING. Bobbie's Pit Bull Rescue (BPRS) has generally not met this dog and is not responsible for any wrong or incomplete information submitted by its owner. The dog did not undergo a behaviral evaluation by BPRS.BPRS has no further involvment in the adoption process unless requested by the owner and/or adopter. House trained Crate trained Knows basic commands Walks great on leash Rides well in the car Good with kids Cat friendly Loves people (like… REALLY loves people) Enjoys other dogs May guard food/toys with dogs Could thrive as the only dog soaking up all the love Meet Nola: Nola is a 2.5-year-old Cane Corso with a heart as big as her paws. She was rescued from a rural shelter after some unfortunate circumstances, but you’d never know it by her loving, easygoing nature. This girl is an absolute love bug. Nola lives for snuggles, scratches, and being close to her people. She’s incredibly social and happily greets everyone she meets like an old friend and completely unaware that she’s a 90-pound lap dog. If you’re looking for a dog who will lean into you for affection and melt right into your arms, she’s your girl. Nola has calm, quiet energy in the home and is a joy to be around. She is house trained; crate trained and knows her basic commands. She walks beautifully on a leash and rides well in the car. She also enjoys going out and having fun with you, whether it’s a good game of tug, a round of fetch, or a nice walk on the hiking trail or around the block . Nola has a personality you’ll absolutely fall in love with. She’s happy to join in on the fun and then settle right back down by your side. Like most young dogs, Nola has a playful and mischievous side and may occasionally grab a shoe to carry around, but she is not destructive she just likes to “borrow” things. She’s also a big fan of stuffies and loves carrying them around like her favorite little treasures. She’s been great with kids and is even cat-friendly! Nola enjoys other dogs but has shown some resource guarding around food and occasionally toys with them (never with people). With proper management, she can do well, though she may also thrive as the only dog in the home where she can soak up all the love. Nola has the softest, teddy bear like fur and the sweetest soul to match… and yes, she does come with a little drool but that’s part of the Corso charm! Her foster mom, who is also a trainer, absolutely adores her and knows Nola is going to make her family incredibly happy! Nola is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and prevention. She is currently fostered in Virginia, but transport is available. Story
This is Cane. he is a sweet, playful and loving almost two year old Cane Corso. he is probably closer to 70-90 pounds now. he is minimally trained—crate trained, leash trained and knows basic commands (recall, sit, stay, etc.). He is not spayed. He is not microchipped. !!!!NEEDS MORE TRAINING!!!! He is currently NOT being well taken care of, and I would love to re-home with a family and/or individual who has the time to love him. He is being treated badly by his current “owners.” I am willing to send/post more current photos. Please contact me for any questions and/concerns. thank you 🫶🏾

Story
Born end of October. Originally gotten as next pack generation, but our older dogs are rejecting her despite the submission and attempts to integrate. (This is not Ash's fault is the point.) Additionally, we've unexpectedly added 2 therapy activities for our daughter which requires excessive driving. Unfortunately, this means we are unable to give Ash the life and time she needs and deserves. She is house broken up to 5 ish hours and can manage overnight. Not food aggressive and trained to wait for her food until given the command "Break." Ash did well with our 4 y.o with the exception of being unaware of her size and trying to be too much in her space. (Again, out of affection and wanting to snuggle.) I have her initial papers and know she received vaccines through Tractor Supply. I have not checked to see if she needs any since she last got them however.
