Ruby is a six year old American Pitbull Terrier/Cain Corso mix from a hoarding case where she endured physical abuse and many hungry nights. We suspect that Ruby was born and raised in that environment and has never received exposure to the outside world. Due to this, it takes Ruby some time to warm up to you.Once she does, she is an in your pocket type of pup! A wonderful sponsor is willing to cover my adoption cost of $225.00 so I can be adopted and enjoy being someone's best friend! All adopters must be vetted and approved to adopt from FOCCAS.Ruby has a way of making you feel wanted, when she greets you with a wagging nub and sweet face after a long day! She is very quiet and doesn't mind other dogs but would do best with a Male. She likes long walks and is doing well with leash training, and knows sit,down, touch and shake already! She does excellent when her foster mom bathes her and clips her nails, and is very patient.She is sweet and gentle until something scares her, then she jumps. She's good on a leash until something startles her, then she pulls.... And she's strong. She's a beautiful girl. Loving and gentle, loves attention but hates excitement. She's not a guard dog, she'll hide behind you in the threat of great danger, or if a butterfly scares her. *UTD/MICROCHIPPED/ ON MONTHLY FLEA AND TICK AND HEARTWORM PILL/SPAYED *good with cats *no kids under 12 ( she is very fast when she runs) *non- reactive dogs are best to pair her with *loves chew toys and tennis balls!! On Feb 08, 2024, Beauty was found wandering all alone in Sweetwater, TN near the dump by a Good Samaritan who posted on Facebook in a lost and found group but no one came forward to claim her. :( Our animal control officer, reached out to us for help with this situation and connected us with the finder. At the time, the Monroe County shelter was over capacity and euthanizing on intake. When she arrived at woofwoof fosters it appeared something strange was going on with her eyes. Turns out, she had a condition called Entropion which caused her eyelashes/eyelids to grow inwards! We scheduled her for surgery ASAP as this can lead to blindness if left untreated! Beauty has since recovered from surgery and is now ready for adoption! We have dog tested Beauty at our dog trainers place in Athens, TN and found out that she is good with non-reactive dogs ( we have been pairing her up with non- reactive dogs at our rescue for play) .She would do best in a home without young children as she has a LOT of energy, young kids could unknowingly get in her way. She loves to run and play and will require mental stimulation in her new home as well as frequent physical stimulation. We think some simple scent trail training or possibly snuffle mats may help meet her needs as she has a curious snout! Her most favorite toy is a tennis ball! if you have two, that would be great or else you WILL go through ALOT of them because she will chew them up right away! We are teaching her to bring it and leave it and wait for us to toss her second ball. sometimes, we will work with her on just one ball....but that is a lot more work vs having a second one ready haha! Bella is an energetic rambunctious puppy. She is a happy, loving, and engaging sweetheart. She requires someone that has time and energy to exercise her and spend time with her. And when my son first got her, he would sleep with her and make my time for her. Now I am doing a lot to fill the gap and take care of her as he will have her in her crate for hours and not spending adequate time with her. She is lovely dog, but I have two jobs. I do not have the time to take care of her adequately and I would love for her to have someone attentive, thoughtful and super caring. It would be great for her to go to a caring loving family who has time to loving train her and pour into her.

Meet Stormy! She is a 1.5year old Cane Corso Mix. Stormy is a quiet sweet girl who is shy at first, but warms up quickly. She is spayed, house broken, crate trained, walks well on a leash and loves car rides. The shelter where Stormy came from said that she doesn't do well with cats or cat sized dogs. Her current foster family doesn't have cats or small dogs so we have been unable to test her. She gets along with the dogs in her foster home who are all around her size. The most beautiful, stunning, perfectly well behaved gentle giant !! Moose is in doggy daycare and has proven himself a perfect gentleman. He was actually purchased from a breeder as a puppy, and the family has a baby on the way, and do not have the time to commit to moose, which is why they trusted us to find him a wonderful and suitable forever home. He's neutered, UTD on vaccines , microchipped , walks beautifully on leash and eats 8 cups of food a day!
