Ruby is a six year old American Pitbull Terrier/Cain Corso mix from a hoarding case where she endured physical abuse and many hungry nights. We suspect that Ruby was born and raised in that environment and has never received exposure to the outside world. Due to this, it takes Ruby some time to warm up to you.Once she does, she is an in your pocket type of pup! A wonderful sponsor is willing to cover my adoption cost of $225.00 so I can be adopted and enjoy being someone's best friend! All adopters must be vetted and approved to adopt from FOCCAS.Ruby has a way of making you feel wanted, when she greets you with a wagging nub and sweet face after a long day! She is very quiet and doesn't mind other dogs but would do best with a Male. She likes long walks and is doing well with leash training, and knows sit,down, touch and shake already! She does excellent when her foster mom bathes her and clips her nails, and is very patient.She is sweet and gentle until something scares her, then she jumps. She's good on a leash until something startles her, then she pulls.... And she's strong. She's a beautiful girl. Loving and gentle, loves attention but hates excitement. She's not a guard dog, she'll hide behind you in the threat of great danger, or if a butterfly scares her. Meet Stormy! She is a 1.5year old Cane Corso Mix. Stormy is a quiet sweet girl who is shy at first, but warms up quickly. She is spayed, house broken, crate trained, walks well on a leash and loves car rides. The shelter where Stormy came from said that she doesn't do well with cats or cat sized dogs. Her current foster family doesn't have cats or small dogs so we have been unable to test her. She gets along with the dogs in her foster home who are all around her size. Tempo is a dog full of joy. Tempo is almost 3 years old. He’s birthday is on march 1st. He loves going for walks and enjoys out door activities. He’s an about 129lbs, he’s a big baby. He loves being around kids, once he gets comfortable and feels safe. He’s a very protective dog and will protect its owner. He loves sleeping on the sofas, and enjoys cuddles. He will definitely follow you around and wants to know what you’re doing. He drools when he sniffs food. I’m looking for a honest loving family for Tempo, who will have the time to take care of him. Give him so much love and attention. Tempo is a very sensitive dog. Please be kind to him, always. He likes to play with most dogs. He does NOT like cats. Once again, I’m looking for a honest, loving and kind family who will give tempo the time and love he deserves. *UTD/MICROCHIPPED/ ON MONTHLY FLEA AND TICK AND HEARTWORM PILL/SPAYED *good with cats *no kids under 12 ( she is very fast when she runs) *non- reactive dogs are best to pair her with *loves chew toys and tennis balls!! On Feb 08, 2024, Beauty was found wandering all alone in Sweetwater, TN near the dump by a Good Samaritan who posted on Facebook in a lost and found group but no one came forward to claim her. :( Our animal control officer, reached out to us for help with this situation and connected us with the finder. At the time, the Monroe County shelter was over capacity and euthanizing on intake. When she arrived at woofwoof fosters it appeared something strange was going on with her eyes. Turns out, she had a condition called Entropion which caused her eyelashes/eyelids to grow inwards! We scheduled her for surgery ASAP as this can lead to blindness if left untreated! Beauty has since recovered from surgery and is now ready for adoption! We have dog tested Beauty at our dog trainers place in Athens, TN and found out that she is good with non-reactive dogs ( we have been pairing her up with non- reactive dogs at our rescue for play) .She would do best in a home without young children as she has a LOT of energy, young kids could unknowingly get in her way. She loves to run and play and will require mental stimulation in her new home as well as frequent physical stimulation. We think some simple scent trail training or possibly snuffle mats may help meet her needs as she has a curious snout! Her most favorite toy is a tennis ball! if you have two, that would be great or else you WILL go through ALOT of them because she will chew them up right away! We are teaching her to bring it and leave it and wait for us to toss her second ball. sometimes, we will work with her on just one ball....but that is a lot more work vs having a second one ready haha! Buddy is a 4-year-old, loving, energetic, and people-oriented dog. He is gentle, docile, and not reactive, and bonds closely with those he trusts. Buddy does well with calm dogs and currently lives peacefully with a cat. He has been around children and does best with older or calm, supervised kids. Buddy is dealing with an unresolved gastrointestinal condition that has caused significant weight loss despite a strong appetite and good energy. He has had extensive veterinary care, including bloodwork, Addison’s testing, and a prescription diet. While the cause has not yet been identified, he remains bright and affectionate. Buddy is crate trained and views his crate as a safe space, responding best to calm and patient handling. He will thrive in a stable, loving home that can provide routine veterinary follow-up and plenty of affection.
