HOLLIE IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED! This beauty is Hollie!  She is a Carolina Dog mix with incredible ears!  Hollie is 9-1/2 months old and 40 pounds. She's extremely athletic and needs an active home and a fully fenced in yard.  She loves to play in the water!  Hollie is very sweet and affectionate, is learning "sit" and likes to be by your side.  She is crate trained and working on her house manners.  Hollie is good with kids (older children since she is so active), large breed dogs or puppies, but not so much with small dogs or cats.  She is ready to join her new family on hikes, walks and play! Hollie has been spayed, has had all her puppy shots and microchipped.  Her adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to CT.   We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Hollie up north after she is adopted.   To apply for Hollie, please go here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net.  Any questions, email us at:  newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com.   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 27, 2024, 12:52 am

SYNDIE IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED!    Syndie is an 18-week-old Carolina/Lab mix. She has a beautiful, shiny black coat, a precious dainty face, and a sweet, quiet disposition. Syndie had a freak accident when she was about 12 weeks of age and injured the nerves in her pelvic area. As per the veterinarian specialist, she has healed, is gaining strength in her rear legs, and is FULLY functional as evidenced by running and playing with her siblings. However, she will probably always walk with a slight limp. She is ready now for a special loving, caring FURever home.   She is fully vetted including spay, microchip, puppy shots as well as rabies shot. Her adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Syndie up north after she is adopted.  To apply to adopt Syndie, go here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net .    Any Questions, email us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .  THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 27, 2024, 12:52 am

Story
**I am located in Georgia, but I can be transported north to you!** Name: Jupiter Breed: Carolina Dog Sex: Female Age: 5 Weight: 40 lbs Vetting: spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention House trained: Yes Crate Trained: She is crate trained, but her first experience with them was when she was with animal control, so she doesn't love being in one. Dogs: She has done well with male dogs, but has had personality issues with other females. Cats: She hasn't been cat tested, but can upon request. Energy Level: Her high energy side comes out when she wants to play. She will run and play tug-a-war with a maximum energy level, and she needs to play like this at least twice a day. But when she's done playing, she would love to just relax in the sunshine. Things that make me happy: Food and scratches, specifically butt scratches, and being with her human man. She loves her foster mom and is very protective of her, but she will always want to be a daddy’s girl. She is a terrible flirt and waits all day for an evening of snuggles with her foster dad. She loves her treats of raw carrots and green beans. She even knows the difference when given a choice and she will tell you which one she would prefer at that moment. And if you take the time to scratch her bum she will reward you by loudly purring. Things that make my humans happy: She is so smart. She knows how to give a high five, a regular five, and a double five aka a ten. She also knows No, Sit, and Speak and is working on lying down. She sticks to her schedule of eating and going to the bathroom outside, so as long as her human is consistent all will be well. Working on: Jupiter is still a bit wild when playing. She is not aggressive, but she doesn't always understand that humans don’t play the same way as dogs. She needs someone who can handle a dog who uses her mouth when playing. She won't bite hard, but there could be the occasional nip when your hand is too close to her end of her tug rope. She is also built like a furry little tank and she may jump on you when playing (she doesn't jump otherwise) and you’ll feel her compact weight and her nails. Before FAR: Jupiter lived her first two years on her own as a stray until she was picked up by animal services and was rescued by Furever After Rescue just in time to avoid being euthanized. She was likely never a domestic dog before she was rescued. She doesn't show any signs of having been mistreated by humans, but she will always be skittish around and wary of people. Special Notes: Jupiter is slightly skittish from having been on her own originally. She prefers the flight instead of fight reaction as her first instinct and will need her own special place to retreat to when she gets scared. She wants someone who will be patient with her and let her explore and understand what is expected of her. Ideal Family/Home: Because of her size and background, she wouldn’t be right in a household with younger children. She really needs a family that will be able to give her the love and attention she needs. She will want to sleep in the bed with you where she's not shy about being a bed hog, but she repays with sweet cuddles. She's good on a leash and loves a good walk, but not a long one, so she will need daily exercise through lots of playing. She would not be good in a home where her parents are gone 40+ hours a week. She is a special dog and needs a family that can appreciate her uniqueness. If you are interested in giving Jupiter a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. Story
AATDR saved Archer from a high kill shelter when he was about to be euthanized. He's a happy, friendly, active boy who loves people. He could live happily with children 10 years old or older. He could live in harmony with a somewhat calm, laid-back dog - or he'd be glad to be your only. He shouldn't live with cats. Archer is a young, active dog who would love an active family and going on daily long walks or hikes. A very securely fenced yard would be great for him. Archer would just love it if you're home at least part of each day. He loves his people and being with them! Right now he's been in boarding for far too long, and he's longing to be in a home and part of a family. If you'd like to welcome Archer as your new family member, please let us know!
