Story
Meet Buddy! Buddy is a gentle, sweet 5-year-old Carolina Dog mix with a calm, low-energy personality that makes him an easy companion to love. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would fit right into a home with canine friends—or soak up the love as your only pup. This kind boy is also great with kids and would thrive in a calm household or with a family that has older children. Buddy enjoys cozy moments on the couch just as much as he enjoys getting out for walks or relaxed hikes. He walks beautifully on a leash, making every outing with him peaceful and enjoyable. Buddy already knows how to sit and takes treats with the softest, sweetest manners. With his gentle nature and affectionate heart, he’s ready to be the perfect companion for someone who wants a loyal friend by their side. If you’re looking for a kind, easygoing dog to share life’s quiet moments—and a few adventures—with, Buddy might be your perfect match. Story
Meet Truffles -“The Ears Have It!” Few critters in the animal kingdom have ears that can move separately, up/down, folded, or crisscrossed. The magnificent Truffles is one of the few! This gorgeous, friendly, athletic gal is endowed with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, one or both of her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. Truffles was born with a genetic condition called mega esophagus that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She sits in her chair for 15 -20 minutes after eating. She cannot have treats. And that is it! You might notice her throat moving like a bullfrog when she is sleeping, due to the enlarged esophagus, but that is nothing to worry about. She is intelligent, active, affectionate, and eager to please. She is ideal for an active family or individual. More Attributes! Leash trained Loves kids, but likely too boisterous for little ones Needs extra care at meal time Local adoption fee is$200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
