Story
Meet Lancelot! He’s a handsome 8 month old boy weighing 38 pounds. He’s happy and loves to play with other dogs—he gets along with everyone and responds well when others are done playing. He lived the beginning of his life at the end of a chain and he’s happy to be free to run and chase balls. He spent a few days in a foster home and was getting the hang of potty training and kennel training quickly!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as ''Out of Town'' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.September 30, 2023, 3:27 pm

Story
This poor baby had her ears cuts how cruel and then she ends up in a kill shelter.  How can this be?  Little Kappa is a sweet gentle 40 pound One year old little girl.  She loves other dogs and everyone she meets.  She doesn't know her ears were cut. She loves her toys, going on walks with her people and looking out the window.  She loves Meal Time and will sing for her supper.  She is learning leash walking.  She is a non barker.  Please can you help even just Foster? Ask for her video.September 30, 2023, 9:33 am

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org The adoption fee is $450.00 which includes their transport, spay/neuter and all vetting.. Pacaya - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! I am an athletic little lady from Central America named after the volcano where I was found!! After all of the years of running in the mountains and climbing the volcanoes of Guatemala, my ancestors have bequeathed to me superior genetics for strength and stamina!! I love to run and would make a great companion for an active individual or family that loves to hike and run!! Are you training for a 5K and need a running companion? I am your gal!! Are you and your family out hiking and exploring on the weekends? Again, you need to look no further for canine companionship! Agility training wouldn't even be fair for the other dogs in my class!! Most definitely top of my class!! But, wait, there's more!! I also enjoy sitting on the couch and watching TV with my Hoomans :) Nothing better than a belly rub and an ear scratch after a fun day of activities:) I am not overly hyper, anxious, or high strung about my running, I just enjoy it and also enjoy my time with my family!! Sleeping on my orthopedic dog bed under the fan in the bedroom sure beats the volcanic rock of my youth! Just a little about my youth; I was born on the side of the Pacaya volcano in Guatemala. I learned to survive from my Mama by politely waiting for the pizza crusts given to us by touristas from their lunches. These pizzas are actually cooked by the heat from the volcano!! Anyway, I digress. When I was about 11 months old, I found myself with a litter of puppies to raise!! I couldn't leave my puppies to follow the touristas up the volcano, so life was very hard for us at the bottom of the mountain. One day, a lady from Hay Dude Rescue came to hike the volcano with her family. I introduced myself by doing my "good dog" tricks; sit, shake hands, and don't jump up!! Through lots of red tape (including quarantine) we found ourselves at the Houston airport!! God Bless America!! We are so grateful to be here and for the love, food , and care that we receive...and it shows in our faces and our appreciative attitudes. At 18 months young and 35 svelte pounds, I am in the prime of my l life and am seeking my permanent Hooman family. I get along great with all people and dogs; with my superior intelligence, I would be a very capable therapy or family dog. I am joy filled at every aspect of life and communicate that joy through my loving nature and accommodating personality. My clear, bright eyes sparkle with intelligence and understanding; Foster Madre says I just "get it"..whatever that means!! I understand a lot of human speak and pay attention to my people and surroundings. I am friendly and outgoing with everyone that I meet. No bad manners and jumping on folks; I am a "good dog" and know how to behave myself. If you are looking for an intelligent, fun loving and funny companion, pick me!!

Story
SNAPPER IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    Snapper is an 18-week-old Carolina/Lab mix. At only 23 pounds, he is a timid pup, but when he is in a secured crate, he obviously feels safe to act tough and will bark at others to announce his presence. Snapper is crate trained and plays well with his siblings and other pups. Snapper will let you pet him and bathe him, as well as give him medicine too. He is gaining on fully building trust with humans.   He is fully vetted including neuter, microchip, puppy shots as well as rabies shot. His adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Snapper up north after he is adopted.  To apply to adopt Snapper, go here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net .    Any Questions, email us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .  THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 30, 2023, 12:31 pm

Story
SYNDIE IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED!    Syndie is an 18-week-old Carolina/Lab mix. She has a beautiful, shiny black coat, a precious dainty face, and a sweet, quiet disposition. Syndie had a freak accident when she was about 12 weeks of age and injured the nerves in her pelvic area. As per the veterinarian specialist, she has healed, is gaining strength in her rear legs, and is FULLY functional as evidenced by running and playing with her siblings. However, she will probably always walk with a slight limp. She is ready now for a special loving, caring FURever home.   She is fully vetted including spay, microchip, puppy shots as well as rabies shot. Her adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Syndie up north after she is adopted.  To apply to adopt Syndie, go here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net .    Any Questions, email us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .  THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 30, 2023, 12:31 pm
