Story
Hi I'm Tinto! I'm a sweet, friendly tripod puppy estimated at 8 months old as of early November. I landed in a county shelter in very rough condition with a serious old wound that resulted in my rear leg requiring an amputation. I've been through a lot of heartbreak and pain in my short life, but that is all behind me know and all I care about is finding a forever home. I have adjusted amazingly and really don't even care that I'm a tripod - I just need a family that doesn't care either! My rescue is not sure of my breed - they see some Carolina Dog and possibly lab - no one knows for sure, but whatever it is they all say I'm just adorable. My $250 adoption fee includes vet exam, neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm test (negative) deworming and microchip, all already done. I also received a 12 month Heartworm prevention shot, so I don't need heartworm preventatives until October of 2026!If you are interested in adopting me please go to www.gofar.dog under "Adopt" and complete a free non-binding adoption application. I can't wait to have a family to love me!If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. If you'd like to experience all the love I have, and want to make me part of your family, please complete the adoption application by pasting this link into your browser: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sm2546&method=online_form_html&formid=21

Story
Meet Ava! 💛🐾 Ava is a gorgeous 2-year-7-month-old Carolina Dog mix with three legs and a whole lot of personality! This resilient girl doesn’t let anything slow her down — she’s strong, confident, and full of life. 🌟 Ava is a mouthy, energetic girl who thrives with structure and consistency. Because of this, she’ll need an adult-only home with no kids and no other animals. She’s also not suited for apartment living — this smart, active pup needs space to stretch out and a calm environment to feel her best. One thing Ava truly loves? Food! She’s very food-motivated, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience. With the right person — patient, experienced, and ready to help her shine — Ava will be a loyal, loving best friend for life. 💛🐾 If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind companion with courage, heart, and endless potential, Ava is ready to meet you.

Story
Hello- my name is Caffé. I was part of a group of dogs found trying to fend for ourselves on the streets. We were caught and brought to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue. While here, we have had all our vetting done and learned what being a dog is really all about. While I am still a little shy, I really like being with people. I am estimated at 6 months old and look like a basenji/terrier mix. I have been friendly with other dogs here. I’ve only met cats a few times, but they seem okay, too. Due to my background before being rescued, I am looking for someone who will understand my shyness and help me become more confident. I would love it if we could take some classes together so I can learn how to be the best dog possible! My $250 adoption fee includes vet check, up-to-date vaccinations, neuter, microchip and deworming. If you want to make me part of your family please go to www.gofar.dog and complete a free, non-binding adoption application.
