Shine was pulled from our local kill shelter. He was severely malnourished and heartworm positive. We gave him much love and nutrients and put him through heartworm treatment and is now free of heartworms! He absolutely LOVES water. He would love to live by the beach or have parents that will take him to a water hole. He is dog friendly Crate trained Fully vetted Microchipped

Ferdinand is a 1 year old male Carolina Dog / Border Collie mix, and is the perfect blend of both breeds - bringing together intelligence, athleticism, and a whole lot of heart. And yes… he really is THAT handsome in person! Ferdinand has a fun, active spirit and loves to stay on the move. You’ll often find him happily trotting around the park, exploring his surroundings with curiosity and confidence. He is agile, playful, and always ready for a little adventure. But what makes Ferdinand truly special is his softer side. After a good round of exploring, he’ll pause, settle in, and flash the sweetest, biggest smile at you … sometimes even striking a pose like he knows just how charming he is! He also enjoys the excitement of running along the fence line with other dogs, sharing playful energy and making new friends from afar. Ferdinand is ready for a home that will embrace both his playful spirit and his loving heart. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who can keep up with your adventures plus melt you with his smile, Ferdinand could be the perfect one for you. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.April 8, 2026, 1:24 am
