Story
Say hello to Dodger, the 5-year-old, 52-pound bundle of joy with ears that could catch the wind! Dodger’s charming personality and goofy antics are sure to steal your heart in an instant. He’s an affectionate, intelligent, and playful pup who loves nothing more than spending time with his favorite people – could that be you? Dodger’s journey hasn’t been easy. Abandoned by his previous owner who had moved away, Dodger was left in a crowded shelter and was at risk of being euthanized due to space limitations. But his story took a turn for the better when he found a loving foster home where he blossomed into the sweet, obedient dog he is today. He's eager to please, and in his foster home, he thrived alongside two kids (5 and 7 years old), showing just how wonderful he can be with young ones (see his video on his 11th Hour profile)! When it comes to Dodger’s favorite things, he’s all about tummy rubs, rolling in the grass, and long walks. Car rides? He’s there for them, tail wagging in excitement. Dodger is also great with toys and is known to be a lap pet who will happily curl up with you after a fun day of play. His goofy side will keep you smiling, and his loyalty will keep you feeling loved and cherished. Dodger would prefer to be the only dog in his future home; so he could get all your attention to himself. He’s house-trained and leash-trained, and he’ll make a wonderful addition to a home that’s ready to never leave him behind. Dodger is fixed, up to date on immunizations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $415. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this sweet, eager-to-please pup, apply to adopt DODGER LIZMAN today at EHRDOGS.ORG !  (function () { // Only on animal detail pages if (!/\/animals\/detail/i.test(location.pathname)) return; // Debounce to avoid double-fire (touchend + click, etc.) var lastNavAt = 0; function toFullSize(url) { try { var u = new URL(url, location.href); u.searchParams.delete('width'); u.searchParams.delete('height'); return u.toString(); } catch (e) { return url || ''; } } function looksLikeAnimalPhoto(url) { return /\/pictures\/animals\/\d+\/\d+\/[^?#]+\.(jpg|jpeg|png|gif)/i.test(url || ''); } function handler(e) { var el = e.target; if (!el) return; // Find the closest anchor or image in the click path var a = el.closest ? el.closest('a') : null; var img = el.closest ? el.closest('img') : null; var url = ''; // Prefer anchor href if it points to an animal photo if (a && a.getAttribute) { var href = a.getAttribute('href') || ''; if (href && (href.indexOf('/pictures/animals/') !== -1 || looksLikeAnimalPhoto(href))) { url = href; } } // Otherwise fall back to the image src if (!url && img && img.getAttribute) { var src = img.getAttribute('src') || ''; if (src && (src.indexOf('/pictures/animals/') !== -1 || looksLikeAnimalPhoto(src))) { url = src; } } if (!url) return; // Absolute URL + full-size version try { url = new URL(url, location.href).toString(); } catch (_) {} url = toFullSize(url); // Stop PrettyPhoto (and any other delegated click handlers) e.preventDefault(); e.stopPropagation(); if (e.stopImmediatePropagation) e.stopImmediatePropagation(); // Debounce var now = Date.now(); if (now - lastNavAt < 500) return; lastNavAt = now; // SAME TAB navigation to the full-size image location.href = url; } // Capture phase is the key: we get the event before PrettyPhoto. Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to NJ for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Robin is a 3-year-old male and a true survivor! He has overcome incredible odds and deserves the best forever home. Two years ago, this brave boy was on the euthanasia list due to a severe injury after getting caught in a kennel door. We saved his leg, and although it's permanently deformed, it doesn’t slow him down one bit! Robin has a pawsitively infectious zest for life! Weighing about 47 pounds, he is most likely a mix of Carolina dog, Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, and maybe even some Kelpie. With that DNA and his resilient spirit, Robin truly is a super mutt! Here are some more things to know about Robin: He is potty and crate trained and understands basic commands. He is also a saint in a crate. Robin is great with other dogs and kids and loves being around humans of all ages. He walks well on a leash and loves exploring the world with you. He’s a resilient, loving, and spirited dog who’s ready to fill your home with joy and companionship. Interested in becoming a forever home for Robin? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Robin. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Robin the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Charlie came into a SC High Kill Shelter as a stray with no owner found. She walks well on a leash and is dog-friendly. She is more outgoing with other dogs and is very sweet and calm outside of her kennel. She deserves a real life with a forever family that will love her and take care of her properly. We can do a foster to adopt program for Charlie if you are willing to give her a chance at a forever home with time to decompress from the noisy, stressful shelter and fit in with your family. We are working to save as many dogs from southern shelters and place them into loving homes. These shelters are high kill shelters and these dogs are urgently in need of an adopter to save their lives. These are good dogs that had crappy owners who dumped them or just turned them out and the dogs were picked up as stray and taken to the county shelters, left unclaimed. The county shelters fill up quickly and they euthanize (kill) simply because they run out of space for dogs to be. We offer adoptions for any dog we post. We can provide videos, pictures, answer as many questions as we can on the dog for you, etc. We can even do video chat with the dogs (these must be scheduled) if time allows. If you want to adopt but are unsure of a dog because you haven’t met him or her….we offer a adoption foster period program. This is where you adopt the dog and agree to a certain time period trial – usually 2-4 weeks (depending on when transport is running from here to there) to let the dog decompress in a normal home setting and settle in and make sure it’s a good fit for you and the dog. If it isn’t a good fit, we can pick the dog back up when our transport returns to your location but you have to agree to keep the dog safe during the time he/she is with you until we are able to pick the dog up. The adoption fee is non-refundable BUT if the dog is not a good fit for you or you’re not a good fit for it and it’s returned, we do allow you to pick another dog to adopt and transfer the fee to that dog (we will only do this one time), this is not a rotation puppy game. We have been doing rescue for many years (the Director has been doing this for over 30 years). We are pretty good at matching a dog to a person, family, etc. Be honest with us at what you are looking for, what matters to you and what will work best for you and we will be honest with you if you’re interested in a dog that’s not going to work for you. Our adoption fees include all up to date vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip, and any other medical needed by the dog while in the ownership of the rescue). It will also include the transportation to your area (not to your house, you might have to drive a little to pickup the dog depending on where transport stops to meet up with people). Let’s partner together to save a dog and find you your next fur-family member. Her days are numbered at the shelter and with no foster or adopter to help us give her a chance, we can't save her.
