Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ryan is a happy boy who is looking for a home! He's currently with our rescue partners in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon with a foster or adopter.   Meet Ryan, a tender-hearted boy who’s been on quite a journey.    Ryan came to us as an owner surrender and has faced a big transition. With patience and love from his foster home, he’s finally had the chance to decompress and rediscover what it means to feel safe. Through it all, his sweet and gentle soul has never stopped shining.   This quiet, thoughtful boy loves peaceful moments, a soft touch, and the kind reassurance of someone he trusts. He’s house trained, dog friendly, and enjoys playing with his toys when he feels comfortable. While Ryan can be a bit timid and shy at first, once he feels secure, he shows just how loyal and loving he truly is.   Ryan would do best in a calm home where he can settle in at his own pace and know he’s finally home for good.     If you have a heart that beats a little softer and a home that moves a little slower, Ryan just might be your perfect match. Ryan is fixed, microchipped and up to date on rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. Ryan tested negative for heartworm.  His adoption donation is $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wag-on-inn.com . Story
Captain Jack is a stunning Carolina Dog–type mix who made his way to us from Georgia, where he was found living on the streets — something that sadly isn’t uncommon there. Despite a rough start, this resilient boy has proven to have the sweetest, most gentle soul. At some point before rescue, Captain Jack was attacked by other male dogs and sadly needed multiple surgeries on one of his eyes. While his eye may look a little funky, it doesn’t bother him and he’s doing just fine. If anything, it just adds to his character and reminds us of how far he’s come. Captain Jack is truly a wonderful dog. He absolutely loves his kennel and crate, happily relaxing in his own cozy space. He enjoys going outside, soaking up the sunshine, and taking nice walks on a leash. He’s also very social and loves to play with other dogs — both males and females. He’s a kind, easygoing boy who is great with people and good with kids, too. Captain Jack has been through a lot in his life, but you’d never know it from his sweet and happy personality. Captain Jack is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. He’s ready to leave his street life behind and set sail for a loving home of his own.   April 14, 2026, 1:33 am
