Story
Cassie is a sweet, petite Carolina Dog around 5 years old weighing about 30lbs. She is shy at first, but with a little patience and some soft words she’ll become your friend pretty quickly! She gets along well with most easy-going dogs, will play when she’s comfortable but doesn’t appreciate dog friends with over the top energy. Inside Cassie Sue is quiet, wants love and butt scratches, crates well, and is potty trained with a consistent routine. She loves toys and recently found a teddy bear that she carried around with her! She really enjoys going for walks and gets a little burst of energy… maybe your next jogging buddy!? She is another dog saved from a hoarder by TLC Rescue in KY who has made her way up north to search for her forever family. No cats for Cassie as she is overly interested! Laid back dogs of any size should be a good fit. Fenced yard not required. Respectful children would likely be fine. Cassie Sue is fully vetted and ready for adoption, but you can always try our foster-to-adopt program if you want to make sure she’s the perfect fit for you. If you’re interested in adopting Cassie or getting pre-approved for any of our other dogs, please fill out an adoption application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt

Story
CAPE MAY, NJ: Just like his name, handsome Halo is heavenly – and this angel needs a loving home in which he can shine! Halo is 2 years old and weighs around 43 lbs. Sadly, Halo was not cared for well prior to being surrendered in January 2024 (then known as Bentley). From his behavior it seems like there was not enough food to go around in his previous home and/or he spent most of his time in a crate. But since being rescued by AmsterDog in March 2024, Halo has been gaining confidence – and a few well-deserved pounds – in his loving foster home. Halo loves to spend time outside soaking up the sunshine and is easily walked on a leash. When Halo looks your way, you can not help but be awed by his stunning ice-blue eyes. His perfect and expressive face is framed by the cutest, perkiest ears! Halo can be a little shy at first, so he needs a patient home that will allow him to decompress fully, but he really is a treasure of a dog. Once he is comfortable with you, Halo is affectionate, social and acts like a puppy. He loves being with you, loves being pet and can “sit” and “lay down” for treats. Halo loves other dogs, too! He previously lived with children and we think he would be ok with dog-savvy kids 8+ years old. Halo’s puppy energy is easily combatted with regular exercise and he responds really well to enrichment items – a long lasting chew can really calm him down. He is also crate-trained and impeccably house-trained, fully vetted, and neutered. Sweet boy Halo has been through so much and he is ready to focus on a future of LOVE – but don’t forget the treats, too! If you can open your heart and home to deserving Halo, please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414. Apply to adopt Halo at AmsterDog.org. Thanks for caring about a pet in need!

Story
Snowby's nickname is Snowball. He does a little twirl when going out for a walk. He gets along with most dogs so proper introduction is a must. He is very loyal and loving. He loves to run around with his doggie friends. He loves to sleep next his person(s). He would be be best suited to a household without young children. He is a great walking and car companion. He likes to be part of whatever activity is happening. He is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He is ideal for house or apartment living due to his smaller size. He can travel anywhere in the US and Canada. ##1499385##

Story
Between May 1st and 15th, part of my adoption fee is sponsored! Thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters campaign, my new family can take me home for $50! Meet Mowgli! He is a 1 year old high energy Black Mouth Cur mix who weighs approximately 50 pounds. His super powers include being completely crate trained and house broken, AND he is great with other dogs and cats! Mowgli is easily redirected and listens to the word "no," making training him easy. He will do just about anything for treats, loves playing with toys, and of course enjoys frozen peanut butter Kongs. Mowgli is working hard on his leash skills; while he is good, we are aiming for great! His foster family is also working on him jumping up as bad habit. Mowgli would thrive in a home in the suburbs with a fenced in yard, as he is not so fond of the city life. He would also love to find an owner that would play catch and run him around so he could loose some of his energy. Mowgli is currently being fostered in Ewing , NJ. His adoption fee is $500. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
