Story
This is my sweet girl Lola! I have had her for the last 5 years and it breaks my heart to be rehoming her but as a single mom to a new baby I can’t give her the love and attention she deserves. Lola is very quiet. She rarely barks. To get your attention she boops you with her nose, especially when you aren’t scooping her food fast enough. She is an active dog who loves walks, playing in the snow and swimming. She also loves interactive toys. As active as she is she loves a good cuddle between your legs on the couch (or in bed) after a long day. She is house trained and crate trained. Lola also knows a few commands and is easy to train. She does great with other dogs and would be best with a family who doesn’t have young kids as they tend to make her anxious. She is a loving, sweet girl who deserves to be loved on as much as possible.

Story
Say hello to Dodger, the 5-year-old, 52-pound bundle of joy with ears that could catch the wind! Dodger’s charming personality and goofy antics are sure to steal your heart in an instant. He’s an affectionate, intelligent, and playful pup who loves nothing more than spending time with his favorite people – could that be you? Dodger’s journey hasn’t been easy. Abandoned by his previous owner who had moved away, Dodger was left in a crowded shelter and was at risk of being euthanized due to space limitations. But his story took a turn for the better when he found a loving foster home where he blossomed into the sweet, obedient dog he is today. He's eager to please, and in his foster home, he thrived alongside two kids (5 and 7 years old), showing just how wonderful he can be with young ones (see his video on his 11th Hour profile)! When it comes to Dodger’s favorite things, he’s all about tummy rubs, rolling in the grass, and long walks. Car rides? He’s there for them, tail wagging in excitement. Dodger is also great with toys and is known to be a lap pet who will happily curl up with you after a fun day of play. His goofy side will keep you smiling, and his loyalty will keep you feeling loved and cherished. Dodger would prefer to be the only dog in his future home; so he could get all your attention to himself. He’s house-trained and leash-trained, and he’ll make a wonderful addition to a home that’s ready to never leave him behind. Dodger is fixed, up to date on immunizations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $415. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this sweet, eager-to-please pup, apply to adopt DODGER LIZMAN today at EHRDOGS.ORG ! December 21, 2025, 10:24 am

Story
Meet Marco, a three-year-old, 50-pound bundle of joy with a heart-melting smile and an incredibly soft coat. His DNA results reveal an amazing blend of 17 different breeds, showcasing his unique and charming personality. Marco was discovered as a stray in rural North Carolina in November 2021, spending 17 months in a shelter confined to a kennel. Despite the challenging start to his life, he has shown remarkable resilience and is now thriving in his foster home in Connecticut, where he has been since March 2023, making him our longest resident ever. Marco is a true cuddle enthusiast, loving nothing more than to snuggle up next to his humans. He enjoys sleeping in bed and will settle in for the night, making sure to snuggle under a cozy blanket that he paws at to get just right. Playtime is Marco's favorite—he's a pro at zoomies, fetch, and tug of war, and his joy is contagious. He’s also highly intelligent and enjoys engaging activities like snuffle mats, food puzzles, and lick mats. Marco is always ready for an adventure and walks well on a leash. He gets along well with other dogs and is also fine with cats, making him a great companion for a multi-pet household. While Marco has made great strides since leaving the shelter, he is nervous around new people and needs time to build trust. Once he feels secure, he forms strong bonds and is incredibly loving. Marco needs an adult-only home, as children make him anxious. He requires a patient and experienced adopter willing to work with him on his reactivity to strangers and his tendency to get overstimulated. He has already learned to sit, and he is house and crate trained. His adoption fee is $350, and he is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered.
