She is a good dog once she is comfortable with you. She has anxiety and becomes very reactive when stimulated. She has never bitten a dog or person but recently snapped at my infant and toddler. Very uncomfortable around my young children.

Story
Jessi is a 5 month old spayed female Carolina Dog mix puppy who weighs 25 lbs. Jessi is looking for a new home after being abandoned. This little love has been a joy to have around! She's really come out of her shell and settled into her foster home. She has a beautiful red coat, soft eyes, and an athletic build. Jessi is also extremely smart and treat motivated. She can be a little stubborn, but really does listen well to be so young. Going on adventures and being part of the action are her favorite things! She loves playing with other active dogs and does so very nicely. While she is an active girl, Jessi is also becoming more of a snuggler. With a family willing to give her structure and help her learn, we have no doubt this cutie is going to thrive! Please help us find Jessi the forever home she so desperately deserves! Story
At a little less than 10 lbs and 2 months old, someone dropped these two sweet brothers off and just drove away, leaving them to fend for themselves. A kind neighbor called the rescue and, of course, we had to say yes. Now both of them are looking to be adopted into their own forever homes. They are just as sweet as pie, playful, love play time with each other and other dogs and are just as silly and goofy as a puppy should be. Jackson is going to make someone a fantastic family dog. He loves to cuddle and sit on your lap! He is great with kids, other dogs, and even likes the cats. He is doing very well on his potty training and is fully crate trained but still needs a bit of work on leash walking. He is current on shots, has been neutered and microchipped and is ready to join his forever family. If you think that might be yours, just press the big button marked "Ask About Me" and we will get you the information on how to adopt Jackson. He and his brother Johnson) are being fostered in Tennessee, but they will be brought to a destination near you by the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Meet Russ, a charming canine on a quest to find his FUR-ever home. Discovered at a park in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Russ's story unfolds with a tale of abandonment, evident in his longing gaze. Despite being left behind a month ago from when we found him, Russ carries himself with the grace of a once-loved companion. At around 3 years old and a sturdy 30 pounds, Russ is a picture of canine elegance, displaying the distinctive traits of a brown Carolina Dog mix. His manners are impeccable – he's mastered the art of leash walking and delights in staying close to his human companions. Russ is not just a pretty face; he's a well-rounded pup. Neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and heartworm negative, he's in tip-top health and ready to bring joy to a loving family. His good-natured spirit extends to children and other dogs, making him a versatile addition to any household. With a love for the great outdoors, Russ dreams of a big yard or even a farm to explore and call his own. Adopt Russ, and let the journey of unconditional love and companionship begin – because every dog deserves a FUR-ever home. Satos (pronounced with a short A) are a type of dog rather then a breed.  The name is Puerto Rican slang for “street dog,” but they are also known as Puerto Rican Found Dogs in the U.S. They are the homeless dogs, or urban free-ranging dogs, that live in Puerto Rican cities. Satos are small to medium dogs, usually not more than 35-40lbs. They have large ears that flop, long snouts and legs that seem just a tiny bit too short for their bodies. Their fur varies from a short thick coat to longer, feathery details on the tail and ears. They come in every color imaginable.  May 13, 2024, 6:16 pm
