Story
We have absolutely loved having Dwight be apart of our family but it seems as though he is not loving the adjustment of us having a baby. It’s been a little over a year and we’ve noticed he is very cranky and agitated / anxious around our little one…which has caused him to not get along so well with our senior dog. We’ve run into a few issues and we truly feel that Dwight deserves better. A home where he does not have to tiptoe around a baby, where he can be comfortable and loved.

Story
Elliot is a gentle, loving, and friendly dog. She was a rescue from Guam when she was a puppy. She’s a mixed breed. She prefers to stay inside and cuddle and love on people. She’s fine with other dogs, but needs time to accept them as family. She doesn’t need time with people, she’s willing to love you immediately. She tolerates cats, but I haven’t owned a cat to know if she would accept one as family. Elliot is curious about new things and people in her home. She’s smart and easily trainable. She already knows basic commands, and can adapt to new commands quickly. She loves to lay near her people and be ready for pets at a moments notice.

Story
This is Elliot II. She is very sweet and cuddly! Elliot is 10 years old, 40 lbs, and a mixed breed (Carolina dog maybe?). She was rescued from Guam with 2 other dogs when my sister was stationed there. When they moved to the States, Elliot fell in love with me so much that my sister let me keep her. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been with me and part of my family for about 6 years.

Due to my personal health issues, Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m looking for a new home for Elliot. I still love her but she deserves a loving home that can take care of her.
Elliot is a friendly, sweet dog who likes to stay home and cuddle her humans. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s ok with other animals and children in the house. Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ve fostered other animals and sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s previously interacted with children. Elliot is happiest with adult humans.

She loves to get a lot of attention and then go lie down near her humans. An ideal home for Elliot would be one with adult humans, maybe older children, living in a home with a fenced-in yard and doggy door. Elliot doesnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t like to go on walks. She is house-trained and knows several commands. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s treat-motivated and has learned several commands over the years, so sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s smart enough to learn more.

She takes heart medications because of a heart murmur, but she is asymptomatic (has no symptoms/issues).

Elliot is a really loving dog who deserves a loving home. If you think you would be able to love this adorable dog, please apply to adopt Elliot II today.

She is a sweet, playful girl that loves cuddles on the couch, chasing a ball outside, and getting her belly rubbed. She does great with little kids, is house trained, sleeps on her bed in the Foster parents room without issue, and is crate trained for times she needs to be left alone. She would be a great addition to any family, especially someone willing to give her some attention outdoors. From the day she joined her foster family, she fit right in and felt at ease. She immediately went to the back door to be let out to potty, went for walks on a leash without issue, and cuddled on the couch watching Peppa Pig with the kids. She would be the perfect pup for a loving family.Born January 2021 and located in a foster home.Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up-to-date on heartworm and flea/tick preventative, heartworm test which includes tick disease testing (if over 6 months), 24Petwatch microchip with registration, fecal analysis and health check before adoption, and spayed or neutered--if not already, a voucher is provided which will cover the cost. If you are adopting a puppy, all puppy vaccines are covered as well.

Story
Meet Xena! She is a 4 month old Carolina/Jindo, possibly some Husky mix that weighs 31 lbs. She came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/9 as a stray. Xena is full puppy energy! She enjoys playing with squeaky toys and making sure she gets plenty of petting and gives you lots of kisses! She has an outgoing happy personality, definitely a zest for life! She walks great on a leash, takes treats gently and even knows the sit command at her young age. If you would like to have a puppy join your family, its important to know she would need an active family that can provide her plenty of enrichment to keep her busy and give her the energy outlet she needs. Like going for walks or running in her own secured backyard. She would need to have toys and chew toys for her to enjoy. Walking past the other dogs barking at her she did not show any interest in them. If you do have another dog in the home please be sure to ask the shelter for a dog test. Xena is a lovely sweet girl that can't wait to find her own family that will help her grow into the best young lady she can be. Come meet this wonderful girl!
