Hi! I`m Taylor, and I`ve been with BARS for almost 3 years!! I came into care as a young feral mama to be, and had my babies the very next day!!! Since coming into care I`ve learned that there are humans that can be trusted, and the best humans for me are those that will let me be me, and let me do things at my own pace. Some days I like being petted, and will sleep at my foster humans` feet most nights. Other days I`m more skittish and am happier on my own. I can still spook easily, and I don`t know if I`ll ever be a lap cat ( although it looks like it could be nice if I get brave enough). I`m used to being around other cats, and get on great with my doggy foster brother too! I love to play when I think no one is watching me, and I love bird and gopher watching from the cat tree too!

Meet Voidey! A sweet little kitten with the softest fur.Voidey is as playful as can be, her favorite toys are springs and the laser pointer. When she’s done running from one end of the house to the next with the resident cat, she loves to curl up on her foster mom making biscuits till she falls asleep.She will never let you forget her breakfast or supper! Dasher came to BARS in October 2024 from a property over populated with cats. He was three months old and not used to living inside. He was very scared of people and would hide wherever he could. It took him several months, but finally turned around and would allow people to pet him and pick him up. Dasher has come a long way since he was rescued and will even lay on his foster mom`s lap and ask for pets. Dasher actually prefers the company of dogs over people and is quite affectionate towards them. His foster home had two large dogs that he was quite fond of. There is just one now - he likes to lay on the dog bed, hoping Buddy will come lay beside him. Dasher is used to other cats in the house and is very curious anytime a new foster dog or cat is introduced into the home. He will take some time to adjust to a new home, but he is worth your patience and time. If you have a cat friendly dog that needs a friend, Dasher is your guy.

Silky soft little Smudge has come a long way from the scared baby she was when she came into BARS care. She has learned that getting petted is actually the best thing ever! She is definitely a tripping hazard, as she loves to press herself against your legs while you`re trying to walk. Smudge gets on well with other cats, doing her best to make friends. She will tolerate being picked up though prefers to have four paws on the ground. This curious and silly sweetie is sure to brighten your home and your life!

Hi! I`m Cheese, the wiggliest of my litter - I`m a fidget and it takes a lot of playing to wear me out. I`m about 6 months old, so that`s where I get my energy from.... but eventually my batteries do wear down and then I nap heavily on laps, couches, cat trees, or wherever - I`m so floppy and sweet when I`m asleep like that! I`m confident and curious, always up for chasing toys, and zooming with my siblings. We all came into the care of BARS before Christmas with our Mama, and since then we`ve been hanging out in our foster home getting tons of love and getting ready for our forever homes. My big brother Ham is my absolute bestie and so I`d love to be adopted with him if I could.... but if you already have a cat in your home, I will make friends with them instead! I have a ton of love and affection to give to your family - will you love me forever?
