Story
Meet Misty Kitty 🐾 Misty is a precious 2-year-old female tabby looking for a loving new quiet home. While she can be a little shy around strangers at first, once she feels comfortable she is incredibly affectionate, playful, and loves cuddling on your lap. She sleeps happily in her own little bed beside you and truly enjoys companionship. Misty is very much a lady — clean, well-mannered, and perfectly content as an indoor-only cat. She enjoys regular grooming and having her claws clipped, eats well, follows basic commands, and absolutely loves playing with pipe cleaners and her toys. She is: • Spayed • Microchipped • Indoor-only • Litter trained • Gentle and affectionate Misty needs to be re-homed due to a senior owner moving into a non-pet residence. She will come with everything she needs: • Kitty perch • Carpeted cat tree • Bed • Food • Toys • Pet Snowy robot litter box We are looking for a calm, caring home where Misty can continue to feel safe and lov

Story
Hi! I`m Taylor, and I`ve been with BARS for almost 3 years!! I came into care as a young feral mama to be, and had my babies the very next day!!! Since coming into care I`ve learned that there are humans that can be trusted, and the best humans for me are those that will let me be me, and let me do things at my own pace. Some days I like being petted, and will sleep at my foster humans` feet most nights. Other days I`m more skittish and am happier on my own. I can still spook easily, and I don`t know if I`ll ever be a lap cat ( although it looks like it could be nice if I get brave enough). I`m used to being around other cats, and get on great with my doggy foster brother too! I love to play when I think no one is watching me, and I love bird and gopher watching from the cat tree too!

Story
Dasher came to BARS in October 2024 from a property over populated with cats. He was three months old and not used to living inside. He was very scared of people and would hide wherever he could. It took him several months, but finally turned around and would allow people to pet him and pick him up. Dasher has come a long way since he was rescued and will even lay on his foster mom`s lap and ask for pets. Dasher actually prefers the company of dogs over people and is quite affectionate towards them. His foster home had two large dogs that he was quite fond of. There is just one now - he likes to lay on the dog bed, hoping Buddy will come lay beside him. Dasher is used to other cats in the house and is very curious anytime a new foster dog or cat is introduced into the home. He will take some time to adjust to a new home, but he is worth your patience and time. If you have a cat friendly dog that needs a friend, Dasher is your guy.

Story
Sweet, cuddly little Sage is over a year old now. She has a food allergy which used to cause her to scratch her neck and head so much she would give herself sores. She`s much happier now that she`s on an allergy friendly diet (available from the vet). She can learn to get along with other calm cats with a slow introduction, but would be quite happy as your one and only. Sage likes to jump after wand toys and play, but her favourite thing is snuggling up on a warm lap - or cuddling under your chin!

Story
Peaches started out as a rescue. She was found in the middle of a road out in St Paul in freezing conditions. She lived on an acreage with my mom for eight happy years and for the last year she lived in an apartment in Sprucegrove. She has now become comfortable in the apartment and does not seem to need to go outdoors anymore. She is extremely affectionate, loving and a little bit needy. She would definitely benefit from a loving family or just someone that needs some good company. When left unbrushed she does tend to shed, which is why she was recently shaved. She was not difficult to shave and definitely appreciated it afterwards. She has no health issues. She does not eat a whole lot, but she is quite solid. Unfortunately, my mom is not able to keep her in the facility that she will be going so we need to find a good loving home for peaches. If you have time for a loving addition to your family, please let me know.
