Hi, I’m Smudge I’m a very sweet girl with beautiful chocolate points that give me a classic Siamese look. I have a timid personality, and being in the shelter has been a little scary for me. When I first arrived, I would hiss and rush to hide because I didn’t know what to expect. While I’m still shy, I’ve made some progress—I don’t hiss anymore, and when I feel overwhelmed, I simply find a cozy spot to tuck myself away until I feel safe again. One thing that really helped me was meeting some other cats here. I became friends with a calm, human-loving kitty named OJ, and he showed me that the world isn’t quite as scary as I thought. I do well with other cats as long as they respect my personal space and know when to give me time to myself. I would do best in a quiet, slower-moving home with a patient adopter who understands my gentle nature and will let me come out of my shell at my own pace. With kindness, consistency, and respect for my boundaries, I know my sweet and relaxed side will shine through. This sweet orange boy is almost 8 years old and has a gentle, tender heart. He’s very shy by nature and prefers to observe the world from a safe hiding spot at first, but with a little patience, his love for his humans truly shines. Once he feels comfortable, he forms deep bonds and enjoys quiet companionship. He does have dental issues that will need to be addressed in the future, so he is currently on a soft food–only diet. Because of these medical needs, his adoption fee has been waived, as we want to ensure he finds a home that’s focused on love and care rather than cost. He would do best in a calm environment. He does not like dogs and can be nervous when meeting new cats, so a quiet home—or one with very slow, careful introductions—would be ideal for him.
