I am sociable, but quiet and laid back compared to my litter mate. I like to lay on a perch and watch everyone. I can be coaxed to play, but I'm content to be a bystander. I am shy about being held and petted. Sometimes I like interacting with younger people better than with adults. The homeowner did not want us to drown and brought us to BCHS. I have never been very sociable or outgoing as a kitten. I usually hide when people enter the room. I still am very shy and timid. Hi, my name is Tiger and I'm about 13 months old. I was found with my mother and sister behind a barn at a farm and brought to Bond County Humane Society so we could find loving fur-ever homes. We have been living in a foster home. My foster dad says I am friendly, playful and quiet when I get to know you, but I am really shy with new people and new places. I won't bother you for anything! I am still learning to play with people, so I can get a little rough. I should not live with any small children. I'm kind of an arms-length, hang out with ya type. I like to nap nearby. I like to be picked up and petted, for a few minutes at a time; then I start purring really loud. Five or 10 minutes later I'm ready to try that again. I get kinda nervous sitting in your lap, but we're working on that. I love "Irresistables" cat treats; if you need to bribe me, these will do it...rattle that bag and I'm on it! I love to run and chase or wrestle with my sister Meg or foster brothers. I also love to climb on cat trees. I am available for immediate adoption. Hi, my name is Becca and I'm about 2 3/4 years old. I was rescued as a pregnant stray and brought to Bond County Humane Society so I could find a loving fur-ever home. After a few weeks my 6 kittens were born, and now we are all ready to be adopted. I am a pretty dilute calico. I am very laid back. I am rather shy and still getting used to being held and petted. I am considered Special Needs because when I was tested for FeLV/FIV, I tested negative for FeLV, but positive for FIV. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is comparable to AIDS in people. It is transmitted to other cats by scratching or biting. There is not a vaccine available to provide immunity to other cats so I need to be the only cat in the household or live with other FIV positive cats. I can have a normal life expectancy of a cat. The most important things for me are a low stress environment, good quality food and regular veterinarian care. It is extremely important for me to stay healthy. There are other FIV positive cats in my room, and I get along well with them. I am available for immediate adoption. I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped. My adoption fee is $20 during the Cat Adoption Special.
