Story
This is Chloe. She is a 6-year-old cat who has been spayed. Chloe loves to cuddle, but she prefers to do so on her own terms, which helps her humans respect her independence. She is both an indoor and outdoor cat and enjoys bringing her family creatures she has caught outside. Chloe has a flat nose and some drainage issues, which cause her to sneeze occasionally. It's important to feed her on a schedule, as free-feeding can lead to weight gain. If you allow her, she will sleep with you at night. However, if she's not allowed in, she will cry outside your bedroom door until she realizes you aren't letting her in, at which point she will leave you alone. In the morning, she will cry outside your bedroom door again until you let her inside. Overall, Chloe is a sweet and loving girl

This is Belle, also known as Baby Belle. She is 9 years old and very shy, but when she wants attention, she will ask for it. Belle enjoys hiding and may not be very visible until she becomes accustomed to you. She has urinary tract issues and needs to be fed a specific cat formula for that. Belle has been eating Science Diet Urinary Hairball Control. Belle is very sweet.

Story
Hi, my name is Freckles and I'm about 4 1/2 years old.  I was a stray and rescued by a BCHS volunteer, and brought to Bond County Humane Society to find a loving permanent home. I am playful and like to chase bouncy balls. I like to get to know you before I want to be petted.  Of course, this is all on my terms.  I determine when and how long you can pet me.  I love to explore and look in all the nooks and crannies around the shelter. I am considered Special Needs for a couple reasons.  First, I tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).  FIV is comparable to AIDS in people. It is transmitted to other cats by scratching or biting. There is not a vaccine available to provide immunity to other cats so I need to be the only cat in the household or live with other FIV positive cats. I can have a normal life expectancy of a cat. The most important things for me are a low stress environment, good quality food and regular veterinarian care.  Second, I was also diagnosed with IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) which requires me to have a special diet.  It is extremely important for me to stay healthy.  I get along well with the other cats who have been in the FIV room at the shelter.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee has been waived.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request. Story
Hi, my name is Silky and I'm about 1 year old.  My siblings and I were born to a feral mom and surrendered to Bond County Humane Society so we can find loving furever homes. I am a lovely long haired buff and white young adult cat.  I enjoy being picked up and petted. I play with all the toys! I love sitting on the cat tree and looking out the window. I have been diagnosed with Juvenile Gingivitis so I have to eat special food. I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $65. If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.
