You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact StFa for more information about this pet. Thanks for your interest in a pet from A.R.F.! If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/ Meet Alaina — a gentle orange sweetheart who’s ready for a fresh new chapter. Alaina’s story is one that tugs at the heart. She was originally adopted from ARF alongside another cat, forming a quiet little duo that shared their days together. But life changed for her family after the arrival of a newborn, and through no fault of her own, Alaina found herself surrendered back to us. While that transition has been a big adjustment, this resilient girl has shown incredible strength and heart. Right now, Alaina is in a loving foster home where she’s steadily regaining her confidence. With patience and care, she’s showing more and more of her sweet personality every day. Alaina is the kind of cat who thrives in a calm and patient environment. She may start off a little shy, but once she feels safe, her soft personality begins to shine through. She has the sweetest orange fur, big curious eyes, and a gentle spirit that draws you in. She adores quiet moments — a cozy nap in a sunny spot, soft pets on her head, or simply being near someone she trusts. Alaina is a very sweet and calm kitty. She loves to get attention and be pet. She really enjoys comfy blankets, windows with wildlife, and a good perch to lounge on. She has beautiful long orange hair that does need to be kept up with brushing, but she loves to be brushed so that is not a problem! She would do best in a more calm/quiet household because she doesn't love chaos. Alaina prefers only dry food and is a perfectly neat litter box user, so she's quite low maintenance to have around. She has done well interacting with the children in her foster home (9 and 12 years old), but they have extensive experience interacting with cats with a variety of personalities and it would be best for potential adopters with children to consider the noise/activity level of their household when deciding if Alaina is a good fit for them. Alaina does not have to be an only cat, but she would likely prefer it and it would make for an easier transition for her. She's a super chill girl who would be a lovely addition to a home seeking a friendly and easy companion. Alaina may not be the cat who demands the spotlight, but she’s the one who will quietly fill your home with love. Once she gives you her trust, you’ll feel it in every gentle purr, every soft head bump, every slow blink that says, “I feel safe with you.” If you’re ready to open your heart to a gentle, loyal companion, Alaina is ready to meet you. Apply to adopt her today and give this special girl the safe, loving forever home she’s been waiting for. Alaina is microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained. Alaina’s adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting Alaina, please fill out our Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions or schedule meetings until your application has been approved. More information about our adoption process can be found on our website here: https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/ As an all-volunteer, foster home-based organization, A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. Please visit https://www.arf-il.org/events/ for a list of our upcoming adoption events. Thank you for choosing to adopt, not shop! January 7, 2026, 7:51 pm
