Story
Friendly boy. We also have his brother Goose. He is neutered and ready for his forever home. All our young kittens are required to be adopted in pairs (or to homes with other cats or kittens) to prevent Single Kitten Syndrome. There are many benefits to adopting two kittens, including: One kitten can become bored and lonelyTwo kittens will keep each other busy and out of troubleHaving two kittens is very entertaining! You will have fewer behavioral issues with two kittensYou will help TWO babies get out of a shelter, instead of one, and make room for us to help more! Our adoption fees are reduced for a second kitten. If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application. Story
Big, orange, and impossible to ignore—Jefferson has been with us for years, and we can’t figure out why. He’s a confident, friendly adult male who truly deserves a home of his own instead of another day watching people walk past him.Jefferson gets along with most cats, though he can be a little overenthusiastic at times—he’s got a big personality to match his big frame. He does well with dogs and gentle children and would make a wonderful companion for a family or individual looking for a calm but engaging cat.He enjoys playtime, loves affection on his terms, and is happy to just hang out nearby soaking up the good life. Not needy, not aloof—just a solid, lovable guy waiting for someone to finally choose him.Jefferson has done his waiting. Now he’s ready for a couch, a window, and a person to call his own. Could you be the one who gives him his long-overdue happily ever after? If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application. Story
Soot came in as a tiny feral kitten. She is finally realizing that people petting her feels GOOOOOD!!! She's still very skittish at times, though, especially when she's on the floor, so would be best in a quiet, patient home without loud or very active children or dogs.Soot has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for fleas and worms. She is negative for FeLV but positive for FIV. This should not hurt her as long as she is well cared for, and she should live a long life. Her adoption fee is $75.If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application.
