Meet Diesel! Diesel came to Ahimsa 4 years ago, after being trapped living outside with a feral colony near Jasper, MI. Turns out, he LOVES humans! He follows staff everywhere, looking for pets and attention. He also loves cuddles and will jump right in your lap! Diesel is having a hard time finding his forever home as he will sometimes nip, swat, or bite- when playing or when upset. The rest of the time he is a total lovebug- he even likes being picked up and carried around like a baby! All Diesel really wants is a human of his own to love on all day! Diesel would do best in a home without young kids and preferably as the only kitty- as he does tend to like being the “boss”. 3 year old - Brothers *Bonded Pair Meet Ion & Eon! We were found living outside alongside other kitties and our mother when we were about a year old. We look almost exactly alike, the only difference being Eon has a little white on his chest. We love to play and we love other cats! One of our best friends here is actually Ahimsa’s “mean” barn cat that lives indoors. We are still learning to fully trust all humans and will sometimes run and hide with new people. We can usually be won over with some food or treats though! From staff here we love pets and cuddles and will even come over for more! Mostly though, we love each other. We spend pretty much all day together; cuddling, playing, or lounging at the window. Ion & Eon are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. We do offer bonded pairs at a discount. They would do best in a home with someone willing to give them extra time and patience while they adjust to their new life and continue to learn to enjoy human affection. Meet Snap! I was found dumped outside in an opened cage along with 6 other cats back in 2022. Nowadays, I’m the friendliest cat here, who asks anyone and everyone for pets and, even, kisses. I’ll meow for more or even come jump on your lap if it’s available! I am feline herpesvirus positive, which is not fatal and easily managed. I often get conjunctivitis and need my eyes wiped but I don't usually require any regular medication. There is nothing Snap would love more than to have a person to call his own! He is friendly with other cats, but could also be a great solo-kitty. Most importantly, Snap would do best in a home with someone to give him a bunch of love and attention that he so deserves. Meet Piya! She was rescued living outside, hurt, and scared. She had to have surgery on both of her front paws and more than 10 teeth pulled. Luckily, she made an amazing recovery and even learned to like humans again! Since Piya is missing so many teeth, she does need a primarily canned wet food diet. Surprisingly, she still enjoys some kibble dry food and treats and can be given them in moderation. Piya is a very independent kitty, she is friendly but not quite into snuggles. She likes occasional pets and cuddles but mostly enjoys finding a comfy bed and relaxing alone. She does not like other cats, but does live at home with a dog! They are not best friends but they do seem to like each other. Piya is the perfect low maintenance girl who doesn’t want much more than a home with a few beds, some cat toys, and people who love her for her! Piya needs to be the only cat in the home. Unfortunately, this has led to her still looking for her forever home for 2 years now. She would do best with adults or older kids only, and a dog in the home is okay with her! Male - 2 years old Meet Pi! I am a super energetic young man. I love to play and I love other kitties! I was rescued when I was only a few months old, living outside, in the cold start of winter. Even when I was I little, I loved to play with the big cats and I do sometimes even play a little too rough with them. I currently reside at a foster home.. with a dog! We are not best friends but I’ve learned he’s not so bad and we do occasionally hangout together. Mostly though, I’d love a home with other kitty friends to play with! Meet Trisha! She is a sweet, little girl who was found living outside only a few months old. Now, she is just over a year old and looking for her forever home! She was very scared her first couple months here and mainly hid in the cat trees. After working with her daily, she’s opened up a bunch and now purrs up a storm for pets! She is very mellow and relaxed for being so young, she’s friendly with everyone she’s met but we don’t recommend a super busy home environment for her. She also tends to get pushed around by our other cats here, and would do best in a home with people only or with very friendly other pets.
