She has a condition called megacolon, which is currently well managed with daily medication and a special diet. She will need to remain on her medication and food for life, so to help her find her perfect family, her adoption fee is waived. Poe is a shy and sensitive soul who took a long time to come out of her shell in foster care. She needs a quiet home and a family willing to give her the time, space, and understanding she needs to feel safe. Once she trusts you, her sweet, gentle personality truly shines. Every morning after breakfast, Poe loves being brushed, it’s her favourite thing! After that, she usually goes off to do her own thing, often relaxing by a window and watching the world outside. At night, she sleeps on the bed with her foster and likes short, gentle pick-ups. Poe enjoys playing in her own quiet way. If you toss her toys, she’ll happily chase them for a bit. She is an incredibly sweet girl with a soft, tender heart looking for the right person to love her as she is.
