Story
Ernie is a sweet and handsome Catahoula mix…approximately 5 years old. He prefers a tight schedule/feeding time, with naps in his crate (door open). Ernie is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. He loves people, but prefers to hang out with men, and be their best buddy! Ernie is a sweet boy, and beautiful, as well! He is food motivated, so training works very well, with treats! Ernie would thrive best as the only dog in the home, though seems to do ok with cats. ****Ernie is currently in foster care in Dallas/Fort Worth, so transport would need to be arranged.*** If interested in Ernie, please fill out our adoption application: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org

Story
MEET CHAI! Chai is a 3-year-old, 53-lb Catahoula mix who is as sweet and affectionate as they come. This handsome boy truly loves being close to his people and feels happiest when he can see what his humans are up to.Chai prefers not to be left alone and does best when his crate is set up in a room where he can feel included—he just wants to be part of the family. He’s a smart, eager-to-please pup who already knows sit, down, and even an adorable “play dead” trick! He’ll also spin in a circle on a hand signal and enjoys showing off his skills, especially when food is involved.Chai appears to be house trained and gets along well with other dogs of all sizes. He’s playful and would love a dog buddy who actually wants to romp and play with him. He likes kids and has not yet been tested with cats.On leash, Chai can be a bit of a puller, but with consistency and positive reinforcement (especially treats!), he should improve quickly. If you’re looking for a loyal, people-loving companion with brains, personality, and a big heart, Chai is your guy. Located in Houston, TX Transport available to most states for a $300 fee

Story
Koda loves going for walks/runs, cuddles, and getting meat flavored treats! He is potty and crate trained and used to walking with a harness. He has not lived with children but has lived with a cat and another dog though is pushy with small male dogs so may do best in a home without small dogs. Koda needs to be crated when home alone otherwise he will find stuff to chew on! He knows: sit, lay down, shake, spin, and is gentle when taking treats.

Story
Zeus enjoys playing fetch with balls and sleeping in bed with his humans. He is afriad of loud noises and of strangers so slow introductions to new people will be important for him. While Zeus has lived with young children, cats, and other dogs; he has been in one home his whole life so slow introductions will be important as he does like to chase cats (may do best with no cats or dog-social cats) and does best with female dogs. He is crate trained though may whine.

Story
Meet Hank!  Hank is a neutered 2-month-old German Shepherd mix who is full of personality, confidence, and love! As the biggest puppy in the litter, he also happens to be the most outgoing. If you're looking for a puppy who is always excited to see you, Hank is your guy. He's usually the first one to greet visitors, tail wagging and ready to make a new friend. This sweet boy has never met a stranger. Hank loves attention and absolutely adores snuggles. Whether he's climbing into your lap, leaning against you for pets, or curling up beside you after a day of play, he is happiest when he's close to his people. Hank gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions around. He hasn't met a cat yet, but because he's still very young, he should adjust well to feline friends with proper introductions. He has shown no food aggression at all, although he's currently a little skinny and gets so excited for meals that he tends to devour his food in record time. At just over 2 months old, Hank is already showing all the qualities of a wonderful family companion. He's affectionate, social, confident, and eager to be part of everything that's going on. His happy-go-lucky attitude and loving nature make him a joy to be around. If you're looking for a friendly, affectionate puppy who will greet you every day with enthusiasm and plenty of cuddles, Hank is ready to become your new best friend! Story
This pup will be available to meet starting on 6/13 Molasses has a calm, easy going personality that makes her such a comforting companion to be around. She arrived at the shelter as an unclaimed stray, but despite whatever life may have thrown her way, Molasses has remained incredibly sweet with both people and other dogs.   She’s medium energy with a playful side here and there, but she’s mostly happy just hanging out and enjoying life at a slower pace. She’s potty trained, walks pretty well on leash, and has wonderful manners overall. Treats and toys haven’t impressed her much yet — honestly, she seems more interested in kindness, comfort, and finally feeling safe.    Molasses is ready for a fresh start and the loving home she’s always deserved. A soft bed, a calm yard, gentle companionship, and someone to call her own would mean the world to this sweet girl. She’s not asking for much… just a chance to leave her stray days behind and become someone’s loyal new best friend forever. They were rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time.  When we do, it will be updated here.  This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.   More questions?  Read our FAQs here: https://4p4l.org/faqs/  Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.  ##2755563##
