Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Rhubarb Pie finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Rhubarb Pie | 6-Year-Old Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix | A Sweet, Spotted Snugglebug Rhubarb Pie—affectionately called Ruby—is a beautiful, affectionate, and spirited 6-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix with striking brown, grey, and black spotted markings. Once found in a Kansas field severely underweight, Ruby has blossomed into a happy, healthy, loving girl who is ready for the stability, affection, and joy of a forever home. Ruby is more than 95% house-trained and has never had an accident in her foster home. She stands by the door when she needs to go out and even paws at it to let you know. She’s also fully crate-trained, sleeping quietly through the night and resting calmly when left alone. She walks nicely on leash and enjoys sniffing on walks, though she can be nervous around unfamiliar men and may bark or howl until she warms up—which she does quickly with patience and reassurance. This sweet girl is playful, energetic, and loves other dogs—especially those who can match her enthusiasm for wrestling, running, and playing with toys. She’s best suited for a home with playful dogs of her size or larger, as her energy and puppy-like play style can overwhelm small seniors. Ruby has shown some resource guarding behavior around her crate and the items in it, but with simple management (like covering the crate), she has done beautifully. Outside the crate, she shares toys and space very well. Ruby is incredibly affectionate and has a wonderful mix of high energy and cozy snuggle vibes. She loves playing fetch, wrestling with her foster sibling, and carrying or “burying” her favorite toys under pillows and blankets. When it’s time to relax, she happily crawls into your lap, offers her belly for rubs, and gently paws at you for more love. She knows sit, down, no, and drop it reliably, responds well to structure and correction, and is highly motivated by food, toys, and affection. Her ideal home is one that can provide both activity and cuddle time—structure, love, and patience will help her continue to flourish. She could thrive as an only dog or with another playful dog, with proper introductions. Ruby bonds easily with women and, with a little patience, forms deep, loving attachments to men as well. Ruby has already come so far and is truly a gem—sweet, loving, playful, eager to learn, and ready to shower her forever family with affection. She’s a resilient girl who loves to love and be loved, and she’s all set to begin the next wonderful chapter of her life.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Malinali is the sweetest dog I’ve ever met! We inherited her from my brother who was allergic and we’ve had her for six years now and she’s been a delight. Unfortunately I moved out of state and can no longer care for her and her brother who live at my mother’s. My mother is a little Older and has allergies to both dogs so we’re trying to rehome them ASAP and make sure they will be taken care of! Mali is a sweet, very smart girl who’s adventurous, and loving. We’d love to find her a new home. She’s a perfect family dog or for someone who works from home.

Story
Good day! I'm Tiara! My sister and I were adopted together when we were little, but somehow we found ourselves back out in the world and ended up as strays. I’m a mix of Catahoula Leopard Dog and German Shepherd — so I’ve got both smarts and style! I’m a sweet girl who gets along well with other dogs, and I’ve even been around chickens, turkeys, and goats with no trouble at all. I’d love a home where I can stretch my legs, run, play, and go on all sorts of adventures with my people. I'm super smart, a quick learner and I respond well to training. I just graduated a 7 week obidence training course. I'm also housebroken & I've lived in a home before and know the ropes. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving friend who’s ready to make every day brighter, I think I might be the one for you! If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##1119139##

Story
59853135 Cooper (HW NEG) Male - Hound Mix - 2 yrs - 50lbs 2nd vacc due 12/9 Good with cats per previous owner Playing with another dog - https://youtube.com/shorts/Jyl_TA9rp0Q  Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/9AEPQ2xK4d0  Playgroup- https://youtube.com/shorts/XFELcQdQ4lE   Meet Cooper, a two-year-old, 50-pound Hound mix with the kindest eyes and the softest soul. This sweet boy’s journey hasn’t been easy, but through it all, his heart has stayed as warm and gentle as ever. Cooper once lived with a family and four cats, and he was perfectly polite and friendly with all of them. When his owner could no longer keep him, he found himself in an overcrowded shelter, waiting once again for someone to notice him. Before that, he had been found wandering the streets as a stray — taken in by a kind person who tried to find his owners but couldn’t. Now, Cooper is hoping the third time will finally be the charm. He’s a low to medium energy boy who enjoys the simple things in life: a sunny spot to nap in, a dog friend to lounge beside, and a human to tell him he’s a good boy. He plays well with other dogs, shares his space kindly, and has the cutest floppy ears that bounce when he walks. In the shelter, he’s quiet, patient, and always well-behaved — a true gentleman through and through. Cooper is loving, easygoing, and kind, a wonderful mix of playful and calm. He would be the perfect companion for someone who enjoys a relaxed lifestyle with a few adventures mixed in. After everything he’s been through, Cooper deserves to finally have what he’s always wanted: a home where he’s loved, safe, and never left behind again.  Will this good boy finally get the best life ever? He’s waiting in his kennel, hoping for someone to give him that chance — to bring him home and show him what forever really means.  Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com/available-animals please note if you utilize an Iphone there are two scroll bars on the side of the screen to scroll down through available animals.   You can email Info@lolasrescue.com anytime with questions pertaining to animals in our care.  ##2597961##
