Story
Meet Petey Puppy: The Bump-and-Go Love Machine! Ever wanted a dog that comes with built-in GPS? Well… Petey doesn’t have that. But what he lacks in navigation skills, he makes up for in love, enthusiasm, and an uncanny ability to find your lap no matter where you are. Petey is a 6-month-old double Merle Catahoula who happens to be mostly blind, mostly deaf, and mostly ridiculous. He navigates life like a Roomba—occasionally bumping into things but always recalculating with a goofy grin and a tail that never stops wagging. Petey’s Talents Include: ✔ Being dog, cat, and even pig social (he’s basically the Dr. Dolittle of special needs dogs) ✔ Swimming like an Olympic gold medalist—but only with supervision, because let’s be real, he’s not seeing the pool ladder anytime soon ✔ Loving his person with his whole heart (and his whole body—hope you like being followed everywhere) ✔ Finding his way to the comfiest spot in the house: your bed. And yes, he requires sleeping there. Non-negotiable. Despite his sensory challenges, Petey is pure joy in dog form. He doesn’t care if he can’t see or hear perfectly—he just wants to be with you, love you, and maybe accidentally sit on the cat while trying to cuddle. If you’re looking for a best friend who will make you laugh, melt your heart, and occasionally trip over your furniture, Petey Puppy is your guy!

Story
Zillow is a 4-year-old merle Pit/Catahoula mix who is extremely loving, affectionate, and people-oriented. She bonds deeply with her humans, loves attention, and will climb into your lap if you let her. She is very playful, energetic, and absolutely loves fetch. She thrives on one-on-one interaction and being close to her person. She needs to be the only dog in the home. Zillow has a high drive and strong toy/ball focus. She does not do well sharing space with other dogs and can get possessive over toys or food. Because of this, she is best suited for a home without other pets. She has never shown aggression toward people and does amazing with adults. She loves affection, loves being pet, and enjoys being included in daily life. With our young kids and our smaller dog, the environment isn’t the right fit for her needs or safety anymore, and we want to set her up in a home where she can shine without stress.

MAXX & ME PET RESCUE adoptable dogsRainy Days and Monday always get you down… But you know who will NEVER evoke that kind of emotion?! ALLEN! Allen is here for you. He’s gonna find any and every way in his power to make you smile. When you’re hanging around, with nothing to do but frown… that’s when Allen steps in! Now, he may not fit under this table much longer… but he will find other ways to entertain you! In fact, Allen just received his final booster over the weekend and you know what that means?! That means Allen is now a man of the world! He can join you on walkies, he can be your buddy on adventures, where you go he can go, too! The possibilities are endless, now! Precious Allen is about 3 months old and just 15 pounds. He’s learning how to be a good boy from his foster siblings and loves being the star student! Allen will make a great family pet for an active family! He loves to run and jump and run some more. His fosters think he’d crush Agility training since he makes his very own parkour course in their living room… If you’re local to the Tampa area and are interested in adding an active puppy to your home, Allen could be the perfect addition! For families outside the Tampa area, Allen will be available after his neuter next month should he not find his home by then. Apps for this beyond adorable guy @ maxxandme.orgMarch 13, 2025, 8:13 am
