Jameson is a very playful and energetic puppy, but also likes his naps and snuggling. He would love a family, since he loves playing with kids and other younger dogs. If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com Peaches had a sad start to lift with negligent owners that cared and fed her if it was convenient for them...tied her to a tree with no shelter, food or water. When we were contacted by someone who took her away from that owner but couldn't care for her either and were literally in a packed up car ready to abandon her and Kito in the back yard and move. Thankfully our volunteer drove up there and grabbed both dogs. We got them both into the Vet right away and got them cared for now they're looking for their forever homes. Sweet as a Peach!! Hi there! My name is Peaches and I am approximately 3 years old. I am a mixed breed and around 45lbs, but cute as button! I am not a very tall girl even though pictures make me look alot bigger (don't they always say the camera adds 10lbs!). My foster parents say I am super sweet , very loving and am totally a lap dog, even though I need a large lap! I am very well house trained, love to lay in my large crate and walks are definitely a favorite thing!! I do like to enjoy the sun and nice weather so either a screened in porch or fenced back yard would be the best! I get very excited when my people come into the house! When I get super excited, I do not just wag my tail, my whole backside moves like I'm dancing!! I am looking for my FUR-ever home and looking forward to lots of hugs and cuddles! I am great with cats, other dogs(with proper introduction) and kids of all ages! This beautiful girl was found dumped on our road in a rural area. She has been with my family for a few weeks now and is the SWEETEST most lovable girl I have ever met. She is amazing with my male dog and two children ages 5 & 7 playing with them wherever they are, digging in the dirt, on bikes, even in the pool! She has had puppies possibly right before she made it here. I did not want her in a shelter setting so she is staying with us until we can find the perfect home. She has been perfect in the house no accidents and is in a crate when alone never making a fuss. She has also been great around our ducks and chickens. She is already becoming protective of the house in a healthy way and has never offered to nip even getting her nails trimmed. She has never seen a cat so i am unsure if a cat family would be right for her.

Our adoption coordinator will reach out to you by email so please check your email for updates. We do meet & greets at our shelter by appointment only - we do not take walk-ins. Pumpkin was abandoned by her previous owners and found in a sinkhole in the backyard along with her puppies. Pumpkin has been at our shelter now for over 2 years and is still looking for her forever home. Pumpkin is friendly with people but not with cats. She is good with dogs but we prefer to do slow introductions to make sure both dogs are comfortable. She loves belly rubs and de-stuffing all stuffed toys she can get her paws on. She has completed basic training and walks well on a leash. She does like to jump up and give hugs so we are working on that. But she is so huggable that we just have to let her do it sometimes. If you want an absolute love bug to be a part of your family, please submit an application on Pumpkin. She is a shelter favorite and we would love to see her finally get the forever home that she deserves.

Meet Apollo! Apollo is an almost 5 year-old, Treeing Walker Coonhound that weighs about 45 lbs. Apollo can be energetic but calms down easily and has a great personality. He's a very sweet boy, and he loves butt scratches. Apollo would do well in a home with no other dogs or small kids. He loves to run in big open areas, however he is not a fan of fetch or balls. Apollo gets a little skittish about brooms and vacuums but this guy is a sucker for soft blankets and LOVES to cuddle with stuffies. Apollo is smart and has gone through obedience training so he knows “sit,” “down,” “place,” “crate,” “heel,” “no,” “high-five” and he doesn't take his treat unless you say "ok". Apollo loves peanut butter and goes crazy for treats. Apollo can be willful but has great listening skills.
