Story
Wrangler is being fostered in PA. Wrangler has some limited vision. HOWDY! I am the adorable Wrangler and I have been working mighty hard to learn the ropes, so that I have what it takes to be the ‘best dog ever’ for one lucky family! I have mastered “Sit” and started learning “Come,” and “Down", which I must say, am getting the hang of it. As for “Off”, I know what it means but I just get so excited sometimes HeeHee. What do you expect, I'm still a baby. I do very well walking on a leash. I see well enough to git around and do well with a doggy door. I sleep in a bed with my human all night. I do fine corralled in a crate when my people are away as long as another dog is nearby for company. In my perfect forever home, my humans would be around all or most of the time and I would have a dog “pardner” to play with in our fenced in yard. Story
Volt is being fostered in NC. Volt has some vision. update Volt is doing good! The vet is trying tp figure out the best way to proceed with neuter and what we can use for hwt and flea and tick. Volt is on keppra to control his seizures and he has only had a few breakthrough ones. He does have random focal seizures. He loves all the dogs here and loves to wrestle with Elektra. Hey, hooman! It’s me, Volt! Life is pawsome! I’m 16 weeks old and ready to take on the world! I love to play fetch with my squeaky toys, and oh boy, the grass feels so good under my paws! My foster mom says I'm super smart and a quick learner. I’m learning new tricks, and treats make everything better! I have boundless energy and love playing with toys or cuddling up with a bone next to you. Other pups? They’re my buddies! I can’t wait to go on adventures with my forever family. Let’s explore the park together and make some tail-wagging memories! 🐶❤️ BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Hello, my name is Randall! I was a stray found on Volco Rd. and noone came to get me. I have become a favorite here at the shelter! I am a silly old man with a bunch of energy! I love to play outside and sunbath, I also like to lay in my bed and relax while i'm inside, sometimes I even roll around in my bed and make dinosaur noises! I do like other animals but I just wouldn't like one too young because I am an old man and wouldn't want them to be too much for me.

Story
Meet Cane – A Loyal Companion Looking for the Right Home Cane is a 7-year-old Catahoula mix with a big heart and strong protective instincts. He’s been a beloved part of our family, but with the recent arrival of our baby and other household changes, Cane has struggled to adjust. We’ve seen increased reactivity, especially around our other dog, my husband, and the baby, and he has had a couple of biting incidents. Because of this, we are seeking an urgent rehoming situation with no children or other pets. Cane would thrive in a calm, structured environment with someone experienced in handling dogs with behavioral needs. He’s loyal, smart, and deeply bonds with his person — he just needs the right setting to feel safe and understood. This is not a decision we take lightly, and our hope is to find Cane a second chance in a home where he can succeed. If we’re unable to rehome him, we may be forced to make an incredibly difficult decision in the interest of our child’s safety.

Story
Remy is the sweetest snuggliest boy, but about a year ago he was attacked at a dog park by another dog. Since then he was ok with my girlfriend’s dog but not other dogs. Recently that changed and now he has been fighting her dog. He is VERY smart, extremely athletic/agile. Loves to hunt squirrels . He’s really a very loving pup and he’s like my child, but we can’t keep doing the keep them separate game in fear of another dog fight. I really need to find him a single dog home with love and care. It breaks my heart, but it’s the best thing for him and my relationship with my girlfriend.
