Story
Meet Tide! Tide has really started to show his personality with people he knows and trusts. With staff, he’s been attention-seeking, engaging, and enjoys interacting, often showing off his playful side. He also takes treats very gently, making him a joy to work with during one-on-one time. Tide can be nervous when meeting new people and may take some time to feel comfortable in new situations. Because of this, he may require multiple meet and greets to build trust and form a positive connection with his future family. Once he begins to feel safe, his affectionate and fun-loving personality really starts to shine. Tide is looking for a patient and understanding adopter who is willing to go at his pace and give him the time he needs to settle in. With consistency, kindness, and a little patience, Tide has the potential to become a loyal and loving companion.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Carissa!Carissa surrendered to PRBJ when she was 7 weeks old after being given to a lady who was not prepared to care for a puppy. Thankfully, she then brought Carissa to the center for assistance. We believe she is a Catahoula Leapord Dog mix. Carissa is outgoing and full of energy. She is doing well with leash walks and likes playing with toys and running around in a game of 'catch me if you can.' Important Information for New Puppy Parents  Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog, dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential.  We strongly recommend that the entire family participates in puppy training classes. This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the same commands and techniques, creating a clear and consistent environment for learning.  **Puppies thrive with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement—and so do their families! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Our Sweet Surprise Litter!  Please check out Tower's charming video below.   Foster update:  Sweet Tower is settling in well and making great progress in her foster home! She is crate and potty trained and loves chew toys.   Tower is a talker—she loves to bark, whether she’s excited, curious, or letting you know she hears something outside. She is also strong, will need kind-patient parents that are fit to care for her. She’d do best in a quiete home with low foot traffic. Busy households with lots of comings and goings are a bit too overwhelming for her.  She’s still working on her confidence. Large crowds and noisy environments make her very nervous, so she needs a calm, patient family that will give her time to adjust and feel safe. Tower would thrive in a peaceful home where she can enjoy quiet companionship, gentle encouragement, and lots of love.  She’s such a sweet soul who just needs the right environment to truly shine! ******She would do best in a home where she is the only dog.******  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~   10 Adorable Puppies Looking for Forever Homes These ten precious pups came to Pet Rescue By Judy after an unexpected twist in their former owner’s life. Their previous caretaker, a kind woman with a heart for animals, had taken in several adult dogs under the impression that they had already been spayed and neutered. A couple of months later — surprise! — she found herself caring for a full litter of energetic puppies. Unfortunately, due to health issues, she was no longer able to care for the growing group and reached out to us for help. Now, these happy, healthy pups are ready to find their forever families!   Puppies require time, patience, and consistent training — but the reward is a lifetime of unconditional love.    A fenced yard is preferred so they can safely romp, play, and burn off their puppy energy ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~    Important Information for New Puppy Parents   Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.***IN TRAINING TILL MID JULY***Pet Rescue By Judy has teamed up with an incredible program called the Greyhound Advancement Center which will allow some of our dogs to attend a ten-week prison training program. The program originally started to help retired racing greyhounds learn how to “dog”.Greyhound racing is now illegal in our state, but the program worked so well that they decided to open up to other rescues and accept different breeds. Each dog is teamed up with an inmate who is in their dog training program. This program allows inmates to gain an important skill that they can bring with them when they are released. The head trainers are the best of the best and we are sure that these dogs are going to come out of this program with all kinds of tricks up their little doggy sleeves. Our dogs are so blessed to be able to learn important obedience training to help with their confidence and make them awesome additions to a family. We cannot thank Greyhound Advancement Center enough for giving these dogs a leg up on getting into their forever home!Buddy is a sweet, confident boy who truly thrives in a home that provides structure, clear boundaries, and consistency. He’s very food-motivated, which makes him eager to learn and a great candidate for continued training.   On walks, Buddy shines—he’s attentive and regularly checks in with his handler to make sure he’s keeping pace and doing the right thing. He genuinely looks to his person for guidance, making him a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys an engaged, responsive dog.   Buddy does have a good amount of energy and would love an active home where he can enjoy playtime, games of fetch, or even longer runs. The best part? Once he’s had his exercise, he settles down beautifully and knows how to relax and unwind.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 30, 2026, 10:48 pm

Story
Wrangler is being fostered in PA.Wrangler has some limited vision.Wrangler here with an update on me, foster Mommy said I had to do it since they did some new tests on me. First, I am a big boy at almost 1.5 years old now! Anyway, I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBD) which they are treating with low fat food and watching my diet. Also, my B12 is low so foster Mommy gives me a shot every 3 weeks. I do great with the shot, she gives it while I am eating and I could care less cause I just want my food lolAlso, something that goes with the IBD thingy is anxiety and I try, but am scared of new things. I like to go slow meeting new ones. I can’t tell my foster Mommy why, but I’m scared of men. We are working on all this. I am great at home and I don’t do anything in the house when foster Mommy leaves because I have other doggies I am with. So as long as I am not alone, I am ok.We are trying Prozac to see if this will help relax me enough to get over my fears because I am a sweetie, really! And, I just love cuddling on the couch with foster Mommy and sleeping in bed with her. Even though I can stretch out and take up leg room at times hee heeBDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
