Callait has been well taken care of, she was gotten at 5 weeks old, she has been a cuddle bug since day one. I have to rehome because I have a baby in the way as well as moving cross country and I do not think that all the lifestyle changes that follow would be beneficial to her quality of life. She deserves to be in a household where she is the center of attention and she gets all the love she deserves.

Story
Beth is estimated to be 3-4-year-old Catahoula mix with a heart as big as her love for walks and car rides, or simply just hanging out. She’s not just well-behaved—she’s exceptional. House-trained and respectful, Beth doesn’t need a kennel and walks beautifully on a leash, always matching your pace. She’s considerate, waiting patiently before going down the stairs until you’re ready to head down/up the stairs. Beth has shown no interest in the resident cat and has done well with the dogs she’s met, especially those who are calm and non-dominant her size or smaller. Beth has lived with a miniature schnauzer and a cat. They all lived in an RV together. Her teeth are in great shape, suggesting she’s still young, yet she has the demeanor of a well-trained mature dog. Beth is an absolute joy to be around and would make a fantastic companion for someone who can appreciate her gentle/chill nature and loving personality. Beth truly deserves a wonderful family who will cherish her as much as she’ll cherish them. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and well-mannered companion, Beth is the one for you! Email us at: adoptions@tlovrescue.org Apply to set up a meet and greet: http://tlovrescue.org/adoption-applications/ Thank you for your interest in Beth and we look forward to hearing from you soon!

Story
Meet Benny! Benny is a fun-loving companion who oozes affection! Quick to trust and play, he has yet to meet a dog he doesn’t adore. He has not been cat tested, and it is recommended to introduce small dogs slowly due to his exuberance for more friends. His foster family has three dogs of ranging sizes and Benny is getting the hang of reading the pack social cues. He knows sit and paw and is working on down and settle. Benny is eager to please and would benefit from more training. On walks, he does well on leash but might fixate on the occasional squirrel. Benny enjoys a good car ride due to his curiosity and willingness to explore. He is calm and confident on social outings but most of all, Benny loves being outside and going on daily walks, if you’re looking for a loving adventure partner, Benny is your guy!

Story
Sweet Tart has been here a long time and is ready to mingle for a home of her own! Sweet Tart was found at one of our board members job sites with her leg basically blown out the back. It looked TERRIBLE. We brought her to the vet where they immediately agreed she needed her leg amputated. She had her surgery and recovered beautifully! She was fostered by Kaitlyn for a few months and she did fantastic with her two German shepherds. She does have prey drive given her breed so a home with no smaller animals is a must. She does well with the cats through the crates, but accidents do happen and you can’t train out genetics. This girl has really bad storm anxiety. If she’s out with you, she’ll just be up your butt. She loves to snuggle in bed. If she’s in her crate, she can destroy a normal crate in minutes. She will come with her high anxiety crate if you’d like it. She plays well with the dogs here. She is a bit more dominant with her play style but she’s never gotten into a fight and has been in groups with several of the dogs here. She is very energetic and so a home with no young children would be best. She weighs probably 60-70lbs. She’s a little on the heavy side, she’s currently on a diet to make sure she doesn’t get too big since she does only have 3 legs keeping her in shape is vital. A fenced yard is required as she loves to run and play! She does well on a leash. If you think Sweet Tart would be a good fit for your home, please send us a message so we can get you our dog application and hopefully arrange a meet and greet! Located in Lake city FL

Rhodesian Ridgeback

Size

Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Hudson is independent, energetic despite her age, inquisitive and driven. She needs more attention than I can give her with an infant, and would respond very well to routine and training sessions. She loves fetch, flirt poles and treat puzzles. She cannot live with cats or any dogs smaller than her, and has only ever had a larger male dog as a companion. She never took well to a leash and spends most of her time in a fenced in backyard. When I do walk her, she does best in a harness. She is an elopement risk and will not come back when called if she gets out, unfortunately. She is unspayed, and when I asked at the vet they said there was no point to spay her given her advanced age. She would do well as an only pet with walks and dedicated playtime. She is well socialized with people and takes treats gently from hand, and is content resting by herself after her exercise/enrichment needs are met.

Story
Meet Oswald, a gentle giant with a heart as big as his frame. This lovable fellow is believed to be a fun blend of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Great Dane, though it is his Ridgeback side that shines through most prominently. His coat boasts a striking red sable coloring, a rich blend of reddish- brown with distinctive black-tipped fur and a stunning face mask. Although he is a larger dog, Oswald exudes a certain grace that is a joy to watch. His eyes, large and inquisitive, reflect the kindness and intelligence that radiates from within. Oswald's affectionate nature is undeniable; he's quick to offer love and companionship to anyone and everyone he meets. While Oswald's size and exuberance may require a bit of understanding, especially with smaller children, his amiable nature makes him a wonderful companion for families with prior experience handling larger breeds. This delightful pup enjoys the companionship of other dogs, once they have been properly introduced. He has had some struggles with dog reactivity, but is doing great with training, and will only continue to improve with a consistent, patient, and strong owner. He has not spent much time inside around cats, but is comfortable seeing and walking near them while on outside. When it comes to care, Oswald is fine with a quiet day inside, but also loves to get out, whether it’s the beach or a local walking trail. On walks, he's a model of composure, walking wonderfully on leash and very responsive to corrections. In essence, Oswald is an absolute sweetheart just looking for his forever people.
