Auburn is a beautiful Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix who has had a rough start to life. She came to us with two babies and a pellet in her leg where someone shot her, but through it all she has shown incredible resilience and sweetness. At 4 years old, Auburn is super sweet and treat-motivated, which makes her eager to learn and bond with people. She does need a warm-up period to feel safe, but once she trusts you, her loving nature shines. Auburn would do best in a home with another kind, gentle dog who can show her that the world is safe and full of love. She deserves a forever family who will spoil her, give her the patience she needs, and prove to her that she is worthy of the love we already know she is. Scar was returned to the shelter because he struggles with anxiety when left alone. He does not enjoy being crated and has previously tried to escape, so he would do best with a family who can help him feel comfortable and confident when he is by himself.The good news? Scar is house-trained! When he needs to go outside, he may gently nudge the door handle or climb up beside you to let you know it’s time for a potty break. Scar LOVES his squeaky toys and enjoys chewing on toys. When left alone, he may also chew on clothing or household items, so he will need plenty of appropriate toys and a home prepared to help him learn good habits.At the end of the day, Scar’s favorite place is right on the couch where he can relax and catch some ZZZs. Ed loves with the deepest of devotion that deserves to be cherished. He is a sweet, affectionate senior with a playful side that shines brightest in the mornings, especially when his toys are nearby. He’s very food motivated and gets especially excited for mealtimes. He thoroughly enjoys short leisurely walks where he can take his time sniffing and exploring the world around him. He’s house trained, nondestructive, and sleeps soundly through the night on the sofa but would happily upgrade to sleeping in bed with his people. Ed currently lives with two canine roommates and does well with other calm and respectful dogs. Has mets a cat and was unimpressed.
