Story
Moose was surrendered over to me because of other dog aggression. Moose developed major aggression with one particular dog in the house hold that he grew up with. The fights between the two were really bad and could have ended up in hospitalization for the dog or possible death but luckily did not. There were a total of 4 other dogs in this house hold, and only one dog was the target. The fights progressed over years and previous owner felt only option was euthanasia. I convinced previous owner to surrender the dog to myself in attempt to rehabilitate or re-home him. Unfortunately, he has singled out one of my dogs the same way as the other dog. Due to our living arrangements, we are no longer able to provide the proper care/training he deserves. Would need to be re-homed in a single dog home. Has not shown aggression towards my cat or toward two small children that he has been around, however, not sure if he would.

Story
Petra is a charmer who's people-friendly and loves to cuddle! Her person said she can sit and shake, doesn't shed, and is housetrained -- she barks if she needs to go out. She's very sweet and lovable girl, and you can see for yourself from her beautiful smile. She's about 2 1/2 years old and has a gorgeous black- and tan-striped coat with white markings. We think she might do best as the only pet in the home. She has a condition called "wobbly dog syndrome," so she walks with a bit of a wobble, but it doesn't stop her and she does well on her leash. She's afraid of trucks, vans and squeaky sounds, and needs a home with flooring that has traction (she slips on tile and laminate). She's spayed, microchipped and up to date on her shots, and ready to be your true love for a lifetime. If you're a special dog lover, please come meet pretty Petra!

Story
Sabor was transferred in from an open admission facility at maximum capacity. He was given the name because he so strongly resembles a leopard like Sabor in a Disney movie. Sabor's coloring is quite unique! However, that is where the resemblance ends. Sabor is very sweet and easy going, as well as being a bit head shy if you move too quickly. He has also done well with other dogs here. Email reception@hsscg.org for an appointment to meet this leopard lookalike or stop by Tuesday through Saturday 11 to 4. Sabor is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines and has tested negative for heartworms.

Story
Luna is a super sweet Catahoula Leopard dog mixed with Aussie. She would love to find a forever home with a fenced yard, and another active, energetic dog to play with. Luna is a special needs dog because she needs help emptying her bladder. When she was just a young pup she and another dog got loose and went into a neighbor's yard where they were shot. The dog she was with was killed and she was shot in the back as she was running away. Thankfully she survived and is now recovered and can walk fine but she doesn't have any feeling back there, so she needs to wear diapers indoors, and she needs help expressing her bladder. We know that involves extra work, but it's not very difficult at all. We amputated her tail to make cleaning her easier. We're hoping you will open your heart to this super sweet, gorgeous, very special girl. If you are interested in learning more about this dog, please complete an application by visiting http://www.floridaurgentrescue.com/adopt. We start all of our adoptions with a one week sleepover to ensure a good fit for everyone. ***Please note that we are a volunteer run organization, and due to the large volume of applications, inquiries, phone calls, emails, and messages received we may not be able to provide a personal response to every one. For that reason, formal applications will be given priority over the aforementioned.*** Adoption Process 1. Submit Application 2. Interview 3. Home Check 4. Meet the Pet The adoption fee for dogs 6 months and older is $150; this includes the spay/neuter, microchip, and current vaccinations as of the date of adoption.
