Story
I have had so many chances in my young life. Seriously...I was found with four siblings at about 2.5 weeks old, dumped in a box at the post office... we were so, so sick and close to death. My rescue mom really worked hard to get us healthy and LIVE. And we did! About 6 weeks later, we all got parvo..... and my rescuer was able to nurse all of us out of it! All my siblings have been adopted, and I am ready too! I am somewhat shy and will take time to settle into my new family. But I will adjust. I am best with another dog, calm and confident, because I will mirror that energy. As a gorgeous catahoula/whippet mix, I have plenty of energy and I love to play! Fetch and chase games are my favorite . I am adoptable in Texas, I need to meet my family and you need to meet me! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
You know, I am named "Tuffy" but what if I am just a "Softy"?? I am an active and sweet boy and I am kind of a goofball, too. I came from a very nice couple who loved me very much, however, they were homeless. Now don't get me wrong, they took EXCELLENT care of me, but I am a BIG puppy and they were having a hard time taking me on the buses or letting me into the shelters :( So, my parents asked the rescue to take me in and find me the right home, so here I am, looking all buff- if you ask me :) I am a GORGEOUS Catahoula boy, tall, merle and HANDSOME!! My eyes tell my story and it is a good one! I have time on my hands and I am a playful and fun kind of pup. BIG puppy- 65# and growing :) I am learning my manners and am making ALL kinds of friends at the rescue, but I am waiting for the SPECIAL FRIENDS who will give me my WILDEST DREAM- A HOME! SO, look me up, don't wait... APPLY!!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Chicken, Banana & Raisin! Who names puppies Chicken, Banana, and Raisin? We do...and somehow it fits these goofy little characters perfectly! The funniest part? Our mama is a beautiful medium-sized brown and white Basenji-looking mix. As for Dad...your guess is as good as ours! He may have had some Catahoula Leopard Dog in him, or maybe he was a bully breed. Honestly, we have no idea! Judging by our stocky little builds and unique coloring, either guess seems possible—but whatever he was, he helped make us pretty adorable. We're a hilarious bunch with the cutest little barks you've ever heard. We love to "talk" to our people, chat with the other dogs, and narrate every wrestling match like tiny sports commentators. Life is one big adventure, and we're here for all of it! When we're not zooming around or tumbling over each other, you'll find us tripping over giant stuffed toys that are somehow bigger than we are. We may not have mastered grace yet, but we've definitely mastered being adorable. If you're looking for a puppy that will keep you laughing, shower you with love, and fill your home with happy tail wags and silly antics, one of us is ready to be your new best friend. But fair warning—we're ridiculously cute, so we probably won't be available for long! Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Introducing Hondo, the loyal and brave companion you've been waiting for! Hondo is a true good boy, showcasing his friendly nature with both people and fellow furry friends. He strikes the perfect balance between confident and respectful, making him a wonderful addition to any household dynamic. While Hondo may be a bit head shy when it comes to leashes, it's a trait rooted in his past experiences - his ears once caused him discomfort. But with patience and understanding, he's slowly overcoming this challenge. This resilience highlights his adaptable nature and willingness to grow. Crate training is a breeze for Hondo, reflecting his cooperative spirit. He's well-versed in the art of sitting and enjoys eating a peaceful meal. These traits make him a joy to train and a promising companion for both new and experienced pet owners. Hondo's ideal home is one that's lively and active, as he thrives in an environment where he can stretch his legs and engage in the joyful act of running. With a strong recall foundation already in place, he's open to further fine-tuning this skill. This warrior-dog's name is music to his ears, and he responds to it with enthusiasm. Though his recall could use a bit more polish, his eagerness to learn shines through. Hondo's adaptable and resourceful nature, coupled with his receptive attitude, make him a loyal partner for all your adventures. If you're seeking a four-legged friend who embodies both resilience and companionship, look no further than Hondo. He's ready to stand by your side and show you the depths of his affectionate heart. Story
Marlene’s journey started on the streets, before her foster was finally able to bring her to safety. Now she’s warm, loved, and ready to find her forever family. This sweet girl is shy at first, but once she feels safe, her gentle personality shines. She’s also won over by food—a few treats go a long way in helping her feel comfortable and connected. Marlene thrives with the companionship of other dogs. Having a confident canine friend boosts her own confidence, and she can happily play with them all day long. She is crate trained and housebroken. Marlene would do best in a calmer home with older children, as quick or unexpected movements can still startle her. With patience, kindness, and a steady routine, she’ll continue to blossom into the affectionate, loyal companion she was always meant to be. Marlene is ready for a family who can give her the love and reassurance she’s been waiting for. Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Radar! We believe this handsome oreo is a 1-year-old Catahoula mix, who we have come to learn is young and full of puppy energy! He currently weighs around 52 pounds and is fully grown, but his height is all in his legs! This friendly fella is finally ready to start looking for his forever home where he can be pampered and loved! Since moving into his foster home, we have learned Radar is actually quite the cuddler and loves to be by his people! He enjoys playing with his 2 fur foster siblings and is also an excellent napper, cuddling with whoever is on the couch. He is potty trained and keeps a clean kennel. He has learned the kennel command and happily will go in and wait for his treat. He is pretty quiet when he is in there as well. Radar sometimes takes a little time to warm up to people and decide they are cool and other times, he makes that decision pretty fast. He is a decerning fellow. Radar has been going to the Zoom Room in West Des Moines to work on learning to focus, listen to commands and walk on a leash. We have learned the he likes kids and although he can jump very high, he has no interest jumping over a chain link fence. He is also not a counter surfer despite his long legs and penchant for tasty morsels. Cats are not a good fit as he tends to get too hyper-focused on them. He is also very food motivated so he is always ready to learn something new. Radar is very smart and is looking for someone to keep working with him on his manners and to be the best good boy! If you would be interested in knowing more information or meeting with Radar, please fill out an adoption application on our website.
