Story
Meet Tonks! A spirited six-and-a-half-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog/Boston Terrier/Pitbull mix currently in Cutler, OH, whose essence is a bundle of energy, affection, and tail-wagging joy wrapped in a white coat speckled with black patches and spots. Tonks is a 55-pound snuggle enthusiast who lives for human connection, her personal motto might as well be, “I wanna be where my people are!” From the moment you wake up to her happy, wiggly greetings to the quiet, cozy nights when she curls up beside you on the couch, she is all about being your loyal love bug. While she thrives on play and physical activity, like romping around outside with her humans or solving a puzzle to uncover hidden treats, Tonks also treasures her chill time, especially on a cool floor or a soft dog bed after a good romp or brain game. Fully house-trained and crate-trained, Tonks knows a handful of commands including sit, down, stay, touch, kennel, and “park it” (her cue to settle in for bedtime). She’s a quick learner and responds especially well to positive reinforcement in a calm, structured environment. Tonks takes daily Fluoxetine to help with anxiety and benefits greatly from a consistent routine and experienced dog guardians who understand her energy and needs. Because she loves so fiercely, Tonks thrives in a setting where she can be the star of the show, meaning she needs to be the only pet in the home. In her current foster environment, which includes two large dogs and three cats, she’s had ongoing conflicts. Particularly with a resident German Shepherd and due to her strong prey drive toward cats, making it clear she’s not suited to multi-pet households. She can be reactive to certain triggers like mail trucks, some unfamiliar dogs, and unannounced visitors, so she’ll do best in a peaceful home that doesn’t see too much hustle and bustle. While she's selective around other dogs and not compatible with cats, she absolutely shines when she's the center of a human’s world. Whether she’s working on a Kong puzzle, chewing a favorite bone, or melting into your lap for some well-earned cuddles, Tonks is ready to give her next family endless affection, devotion, and plenty of joyful moments! Story
Meet Toffee (brindle) and Heath (white), a bonded pair of one-and-a-half-year-old Catahoula mix brothers with an unshakable connection. These two grew up side by side and have been inseparable ever since. Toffee is hearing-impaired and looks to Heath as his guide and emotional support, while Heath takes that role to heart, always looking out for his brother. Both boys are friendly and affectionate, though they can be a bit timid in new situations. Once they warm up, their personalities shine—Heath is the energetic social butterfly, always ready for playtime or a walk, and Toffee brings a gentle, calming presence with his sweet, soulful eyes. They love running and playing together, whether it’s chasing each other around the yard or stretching out in the grass for a good nap. Their bond makes them the perfect team—Heath gives Toffee confidence, and Toffee keeps Heath grounded. They’re looking for a home that will embrace their unique connection and give them both the love, patience, and space to thrive. With Toffee and Heath, you’re not just adopting dogs—you’re gaining a loyal duo that will fill your life with double the love and twice the tail wags. Story
Meet Bronco! Bronco is an amazing pup, estimated to be between 1–2 years old, and he’s still very much in that playful puppy phase. Curious about everything, he loves exploring the world around him and discovering new sights, smells, and adventures. Bronco gets along wonderfully with other dogs and currently has three foster siblings he enjoys playing and lounging with throughout the day. He is also potty trained, and he is currently working on becoming fully kennel trained. This sweet boy is quite the talker—Bronco loves to express himself with silly grumbles, playful barks, and funny little sounds, especially when he’s excited or vying for attention. He has a big personality and an even bigger heart. While he can be a bit skittish at first and sometimes thinks he’s in trouble when you approach, he is quickly learning that people can be kind and gentle. Each day, he grows more confident, more trusting, and more affectionate. In the evenings, Bronco enjoys curling up on a cozy dog bed, and he’ll occasionally trot over to give you a soft “boop” as his sweet way of asking for pets. He also has great protective instincts—if he hears a strange noise outside, he’ll be the first to investigate and alert his people. Bronco is well on his way to becoming a loyal, loving, and devoted companion. With continued patience, reassurance, and love, he will blossom into the incredible dog he is meant to be. He’s ready to find a forever family to adore and protect. Bronco is being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX but can be transported to the PNW and NE United States after adoption. Story
Currently fostered in Texas and ready for her PNW debut Don't get mad...get Glad! Glad is another shining example of how resilient and amazing dogs can be. She was found in a garbage bag in a dumpster, skinny and unsure what it means to be a dog. Our behavior team says they have loved watching her blossom and learn l the good things about being a dog. She is very affectionate and makes eye contact to ask for love and pushes up against you or stands up on her hind legs to show love. She also loves toys and can keep herself pretty entertained with them! She will sometimes bark for attention in the crate but is not incessant. This is probably her first time to be crated so she’s just getting used to it but it has already gotten better with time. She has a beautiful coat that is shiny and soft and a happy little wagging tail! She also has gorgeous eyes and floppy ears! Whenever we walk her everyone stops to see how beautiful she is! She really is strikingly gorgeous. Glad has been free roaming in our sunroom with our big tomcat and has hardly acknowledged him. Glad is dog friendly, however she prefers dogs that respect her space and allow her to engage. She can get a little overwhelmed by high energy dogs who get overly excited to play with her as she just doesn’t understand what the expect. Glad would make a great addition to any home and is ready to show her humans all the love she has to give! Don’t miss out on this amazing pup! Story
How cute is Tissy? She is currently 8 weeks old and we think she may be a Catahoula and retriever mix, but with rescue it is always a bit of a mystery! Tissy is playful and sweet. She loves to play with other dogs and her toys and then cuddle up for a nap. Tissy is a baby so she will need a patient family that is ready for training, socialization and all of the hard stuff that comes with owning a young puppy. However, she will make up for it with a bunch of kisses! Her new family will have to work with him on potty training, crate training, and basic commands. As she gets older, we anticipate she will be a higher energy dog and will likely require physical and mental exercise daily. She will be perfect to take on long walks around the neighborhood!
