Story
Ginny is a 14 month old catahoula mix. She is very energetic and quirky as can be! She loves taking long walks and does great at regular "doggy day care" visits at a facility in our town and loves other dogs. She does great with our kids. Ginny has gone through both group training sessions for basic commands, and has worked privately with a trainer. Ginny needs frequent exercise in conjunction with mental puzzles such as licky mats and sniffing adventures. Ginny should NOT be in a home with other cats. An ideal adopter would have an active lifestyle and/or work from home to give her the attention she craves. Her current human works from home and this is the lifestyle she knows. An adopter WILL have their references called, and you need to be established with a vet of your own or opt to continue with her current vet in Western MA (they're a part of a chain).

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: YesGood with kids: Yes, dog-savvy childrenCrate trained: Mostly House trained: MostlyMeet Poe! This sweet, bashful boy is looking for a family who will shower him with all the love. This stunning sweetheart will steal your heart the moment you gaze into his two-toned brown and blue eyes. His unique coloring and striking markings make him truly one of a kind. Poe is looking for a patient and loving family to call his own. He may take a few minutes to adjust to new environments and looks to his humans for encouragement, his gentle timidness never reflects the way he feels about people. Poe lives to love. He’s a dedicated cuddle bug, a loyal companion, and a dog who wants nothing more than to bond deeply with his people.Poe has been fostered with other dogs and has also been fostered as an only dog. He loves his canine companions but a doggy sibling isn’t a requirement. He happily entertains himself with toys and bones. Poe is fostered with cats and is very respectful of his feline siblings. He would do best with dog savvy children. Poe is a smart cookie and eager to please (especially when treats are involved). He is mostly house trained, but may regress in a new environment. He is mostly crate trained and can be vocal before settling. With a consistent routine and time to adjust Poe will thrive. He walks calmly on a leash and is a pleasant companion on outings, though he may appreciate a little extra reassurance in busy or high-traffic areas.Poe is searching for a patient, understanding home that will give him the time and encouragement he needs to feel safe and confident. In return, he promises unwavering devotion, endless snuggles, and a lifetime of love. Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.
