Story
I'm Lollie, a super sweet, gorgeous Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. I'm about a year old and weigh 34 pounds. I get along well with other dogs, and I'm very calm for my age. I'm in a foster home right now, and my foster says I've had zero accidents and appear totally housetrained. I sleep quietly in my crate or in a dog bed, and I was fine when left alone while my foster dad ran an errand -- I'm not destructive in the house. I love being around people and just chilling; I'm a quiet, easygoing girl. I'm also great on a leash. Most of all, I have one-of-a-kind good looks -- a fantastic combination of temperament and beauty! Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and the adoption team will get right back to you.

This animal is part of our Name Your Price adoption promotion, meaning you get to choose the adoption fee that feels right for you! And there’s even more: adopters will receive a post-adoption training reimbursement plus six months of heartworm and flea & tick prevention to help get their new best friend off to a great start.Say hello to Riley! At 11 years old, Riley is proof that age is just a number! This sweet girl came into our care after a change in her family’s living situation meant they could no longer keep her. Riley was a beloved member of her family, and while she may be starting a new chapter, she hasn’t lost any of her loving personality. Riley is an absolute sweetheart who loves her people and wants nothing more than to be close to them. She’s happiest when she’s getting attention, receiving some good scratches, or simply hanging out by your side. And if you happen to sit down? Be prepared—Riley firmly believes she is a lap dog and will happily climb right up for some cuddle time! She has such a gentle, affectionate nature and is sure to make someone a wonderful companion and on the plus side, she is potty trained! Riley is considered a Special Needs Adoption because of her previous history with a benign mass on her rectum. The mass was surgically removed, and the removal is expected to be curative. However, due to her history, she should be monitored for any new masses or signs of recurrence. Riley has previously been introduced to cats and has shown a strong interest in chasing them, so she would be happiest in a home with no cats! Riley has so much love left to give and is ready to find the person who will let her spend her golden years being exactly what she loves most—a spoiled, cuddly lap dog surrounded by her people. Riley would love to be your one and only pet or would do well with another senior dog that has a similar energy level. Could Riley be the loving companion you’ve been looking for?Apply today at: capeannanimalaid.org/dogapp

Story
Arleigh is such a sweet, loving, energetic dog. She loves going on runs, car rides and the beach. She is deaf and nearsighted and requires a lot of attention and patience. She is trained on a vibrating collar and sign language. I am only looking to rehome her because she is not getting along with my cat, and being active duty military I don’t meet her attention needs. She’d come with her crate, special E collar and everything else I have for her. I really love this dog and am committed to find her a loving home.

Story
***SPONSORED ADOPTION FEE***Another desperate attempt to get Calamity some attention because she's honestly the best girl and we don't know why she's still sitting here.Is she a large dog? Yup. She's a 78lb catahoula leopard dog mix. She's a large lady but she KNOWS that she's a large lady. She's not a bull in a china shop, she's not chaos incarnate, she's not the ringleader of a three-ring circus that's on fire. Despite her name, she's a polite, even-tempered girl with actual MANNERS. She's definitely a sporty girl and she's athletic and will need regular exercise but she's not the kind of dog to parkour off of you or bounce off of the walls.Calamity is about 5.5 years old so she's full grown and a mature, responsible adult...she would pay taxes if she could. She's extremely intelligent, knows her cues, and she's fantastic on a leash, especially for a girl of her size. She LOVES toys and will literally play fetch with herself. She's an attention-seeker and LIVES for attention from people and has no issues with befriending strangers.Calamity does NOT like cats and she's choosy about the dogs she gets along with but has been fine with them for the most part. We're asking that any kids in the home be 12+ just because Calamity was found as a stray so we have very little history on her and don't know if she's ever been around children.Calamity is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She's also been tested for heartworm, lyme, anaplasmosis, and ehrlichia and is negative for all four.To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com.
