Story
The world is weird. Seriously, how else do you explain the fact that this incredible (and ridiculously handsome) pup is still looking for a family? We don't get it, but one thing's for sure: whoever adopts Wells is hitting the jackpot. • Wells / 1 year old / 48 lbs / Catahoula-Lab mix (our best guess!) • Smart, curious, affectionate, easygoing, and happiest hanging with his people • Fully crate and potty trained, rides great in the car, and walks beautifully on leash • Really LOVES playing with other dogs and is always ready for a pup playdate • Wells prefers to keep all the food and human attention to himself INSIDE THE HOME ONLY, so he needs to be the solo king of his castle • Playful & adventurous when it's fun time, calm and cuddly when it's time to relax • A little shy at first, but once he knows you, he's endless love, affection, & snuggles • Microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered. Located in East Rockaway. Adoption fee $600. He's the perfect combo of adventure buddy and couch companion. Whether you're heading out for a hike, grabbing a pup cup, or settling in for a movie marathon, Wells is just happy to be by your side. (Side note: His foster family says he's AMAZING!) ##2708755##

Story
🐾 Meet Atlas – Our Longest-Waiting Adventurer 🐾 Atlas is a 4-year-old Catahoula mix who has been in the rescue program for almost 4 years, and we truly don’t understand how this incredible dog is still waiting for his forever home. Atlas is great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends. He is cat-friendly, but he can be a bit much for them since he always wants to play—so he’d do best in a cat-free home or one with a very tolerant, confident cat. This guy is active, athletic, and always ready for an adventure. Walks, outings, and staying busy are his jam, so he’ll need an active family who can keep up with his enthusiasm for life. Atlas does have some separation anxiety, but it is very manageable and continues to improve with routine and structure. And here’s the really cool part—Atlas has competed in THREE OneWorld Canine Biathlons and absolutely crushed it, even placing 2nd in one of his races! 🏅 This dog has both brains and brawn. 📍 Fostered in Huntsville, AL 🐶 Good with dogs 🐱 Cats with conditions 🏃 Adventure-ready & athletic Atlas has waited long enough. He’s loyal, driven, and ready to be someone’s best adventure buddy. If you’re looking for a dog who will truly be your partner in life, Atlas is your guy. 👉 Apply to adopt at www.forrescue.net Rescue: Friends of Rescue 💙

Story
This is Lincoln. We rescued her from a sad situation, she was skin and bones and unbeknownst to us pregnant, we were 4/5th people to have her. She’s roughly 14-16 months old. When we rescued her she didn’t even have a name, she had never been shown any affection whatsoever and every time we attempted to pet her she would cower to the ground. The only consistent thing before coming to rescue is that she had always been with other dogs. She is good there and would probably be better if she wasn’t the only dog as she seeks comfort and guidance from them. We’ve worked with her and she’s past the skittish phase and is one of the most loving dogs ever seen but will likely take some time to get comfortable in a new home. She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body and just wants to be loved. This sweet girl is full of personality now. She has come out of her shell and will even throw you a smile. She is a great medium sized dog that weighs about 50 pounds. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and is heartworm negative. She is being fostered in North Alabama but is available to other areas via transport.

Story
adoption donation : $599 weight 38lbs Age 6 months       Charlie is a sweet and friendly girl who loves everyone she meets. She was found abandoned at a truckstop in a rural part of Mississippi and luckily rescued by Wags. At the rescue, she is having a blast running and playing with all the dogs, she just loves other pups! In the house, she is mellow and chill and loves to follow her Foster Mom around.  Charlie has been spayed and vaccinated and is ready to travel to the northeast as soon as the weekend of August 9th. Charlie is housebroken at Wags but like any rescue pup will likely need some training as she adjusts to a new home. She has beautiful and appeared to be a Catahola Leopard dog, very common in Mississippi and known to be very smart and loving dogs. Charlie is just the best, she will  make a wonderful  member of the family.    Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter. Most of our dogs are in Mississippi and come up by Transport, dogs are listed along the Transport route or in an area where we may have volunteers who can help transport the dogs. We do have some of our dogs in foster homes in the northeast, we always need foster homes!
