Story
Meet Atlas. While his DNA is very rich in dog breeds (18 actually), his appearance is quite unique, with two breeds as the main standouts. His face and ear structure look mostly Pitbull, but his "glass eyes", height, thick body (about 65 lbs), and mottled coat are distinct characteristics of his distant Catahoula Leopard dog relatives. Atlas loves a good cuddle and is the best hugger. Although he can be a little stand-offish around strangers at first, he warms up quickly to people of all ages. He does well with children and with other dogs that do not have as dominant of a personality as his own. He loves hikes, exploring, runs/walks, chasing balls and frisbees, playing tug, and chewing on toys. He will dig from boredom if he is left alone outside for long periods of time without sufficient engagement. He knows a few commands but usually prefers to perform for treats. Atlas is an affectionate, active dog that needs an equally loving and active family to meet his emotional and physical needs.   If you would like to make this amazing guy part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ Atlas is located in Alabama and available for transport. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members.

Story
Sweet Daisy is waiting for you! She's a beautiful Catahoula mix who is filled with fun and happiness as you can see in her big smile! She's a sweet girl who is approximately 1 and a half years old and fully grown at 40 pounds. She loves playing with other dogs and gets along with everyone she meets especially kids. She loves playing with her toys and then taking a snooze in the warm sunshine. She'd also really enjoy a fenced in yard. She's so easy...fully housebroken and crate trained and would be a wonderful addition to any adopter's life. She's hoping for a family who who will love her forever! Reach out to find out more information about this sweet girl!

Story
I couldn’t have asked for a better helper dog! Meet Thomas who recently joined us from Louisiana. Thomas greeted our group of 10 trainees gently and respectfully, going to each with a gentle welcome gazing at each with soft, sweet eyes. At only one year old and 35 pounds, he’s already won the hearts of staff and volunteers. He’s perfected his snuggling skills and enjoys working on them every day! Thomas is amazing on leash as each new trainee commented on how easy he is (every walk starts with a hug),he’s housetrained, and a perfect gentleman in a home. He loves playtime with his dog friends, and then cuddling in his bed or couch next to his person. He’s a gentle and respectful cuddler. A home in the suburbs is the perfect situation for this sweet dog who is neutered, microchipped and up to date with appropriate vaccinations. Please complete this application to meet him: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/POSH/Dog
